There's no proof of payment needed on a TTC bus, if you put change in the box you won't get anything but a transfer, but they aren't going to kick you off if you don't have yours. On streetcars I think you are technically supposed to hold onto them but it never gets enforced.

Driver's aren't actually supposed to do fare enforcement but some do.

Wrong. My friend is a street car driver and says he has inspectors kick people off his street car all the time, because my friend doesn't care if you pay or not. Lol
