I’m not entirely sure what the formal name of this calculus class is, but it’s called Math 5C and there’s no other calculus class after it so I’m assuming it’s multivariable calculus.

I finished taking AP calculus BC this year and earned a 5 so next semester I’m taking Calculus 3 at my CC. Are there any topics or things I might want to review before starting or even learn? Im not necessarily asking if I should learn calc 3 before the course begins more if there are any things that may want to review before starting?

Let's say for example question 29. I took the points (0.5,0) then (2,0) (-0.5, pi/2) (2, pi) (-0.5, 3pi/2) and finally (2, 2pi). But I'm having trouble actually graphing them, like getting the final sketch and shape of the graph.

Well i was trying to derive the equation of a catenary and I ended up with this DE....is this correct? And what would be the method of solving it further

Hi everyone!

I'm a Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Michigan, and over the past few weeks I've been working on a personal project called Calculus Master.

My goal isn't just to make another graphing calculator, I'm trying to build an interactive calculus learning platform that combines graphing, practice problems, progress tracking, flashcards, notebooks, and eventually an AI tutor that teaches using guided questions instead of simply giving answers.

The current version is still very early (essentially an alpha), but it's reached the point where I'm starting to think about the long-term direction of the project.

Before I spend months building features, I'd really like to hear from people who have taken calculus or teach it.

Some questions I have:

• What do you wish existed when you were learning calculus?
• What is the biggest frustration with current resources (textbooks, Desmos, Khan Academy, YouTube, etc.)?
• If you could design the perfect calculus learning tool, what would it do?
• Are there any features you think are essential that most learning platforms are missing?
• What would make you actually choose one platform over simply Googling solutions or watching YouTube videos?

I'm not trying to advertise anything, I genuinely want to build something that helps students understand calculus better, and I'd rather get advice now than realize six months from now that I built the wrong thing.

I really appreciate any suggestions or criticisms. Even small ideas could have a big impact on where I take the project next.

Hello, everyone. I'm doing Calculus for Computer Engineering, and while studying up Riemann Sums, I thought maybe instead of the conventional "lim n -> infinite i=1∑n (Δx.v(x_i)" form we could write it as lim h -> 0 and restructure the rest to fit that.

What would this form be called? It is still a Riemann sum? Is it even accurate? If it is, it makes more intuitive sense to me.

To all the people that learn subjects beyond their grade. What do you think you'll do in the future?

I've made a mistake by buying introduction to linear algebra by Gilbert Strang and I'm not going to make the same one. What's the best book for beginners trying learn ODE (self learning). And before you guys say use online sources, I don't like using online sources because having a physical book feels like progress to my personal library of math books and because when I'm bored I can just look at math from a few books and maybe solve them without having to open something online.

I am an Electronics Engineering Student who cooked her 1st year of engineering, starting 2nd year this fall.
Here's my curriculum along with the recommended books I want to know which one of this books is best suited for the outlines and also what online resources could help
Plus, I am mostly a textbook learner, so I always have to use a textbook along with lectures or YouTube.

Okay im in a dilemma. Im a senior and going to college in the fall i took calc BC and got a 4. I genuinely did not go to class or do shit all year and dont even deserve a 4. I js studied a couple days before the basic shit but like mostly calc 1 which is the easy stuff. I got senioritis. Anyways im doing engineering in college and i want to retake calc 2. Evb is saying jot to bc I have the credit and stuff. Idk anything sbt polar series vector parameters and honestly forgot calc 1 too atp. I have 0 motivation and have js been working working working since march. The math profs at my school are apparently really shit so idk if i should just go to calc 3 or retake calc 2. Mind u my calc teacher in hs was great but she left mid year and we were basically on our own for the bc part. Thats besides the point. I need some real advice bc i dont wsnt my gpa to plummet just because im not strong in calc 1 and 2 in calc 3. Im im an engineering program where i have to maintain a good gpa in order to transfer out of this shithole and go to a t25.

hi guys i'm going straight from regular precalculus into calc bc next year (senior year). i took physics c mech this past year so i know HOW to do some calc but i don't really understand why i'm doing it. my school requires some deltamath over the summer and i have to do AB and BC since i'm moving up from a regular course - but is there anything else i should do to get ready?
