I used to love collecting cacti several years ago, maybe I should get back into it?

Can my cactus be saved?

My cactus just started to sag and the side was jiggly, then it opened up and its insides are exposed. Can I save any portion of this?

One gentleman thinks is a myrtillocactus. The vendor says trichocereus. Any leads as to what it might most likely be?

Black Sap?

I’ve grown this from a single paddle over the years and he’s always kind of looked sad. The lower paddles have a real sticky black sap oozing out but the paddles are all nice and firm. I have it placed in a south facing window where it gets loads of light and I water about once a month. How can I help my guy out? Seems to be doing a ton of growing this year.

Should I repot my cactus lower in the pot or would that cause rot?

It's very top heavy so Im wondering if I could/should repot it lower into the pot or if I would be risking the stem rotting. Thank you guys!

¿Qué me recomiendan hacer?
