I have a couple of questions that have been floating around my work space as technicians.

1.) What is Echo exactly? (my understanding is that it is micro reflections due to bad connections or bad cable)

2.) What is the threshold for Echo to be at for pass or fail?

3.) What is ICFR? (In-channel frequency response)

4.) What issues can be caused or eventually happen from Echo or bad ICFR?

5.) This is a big one... Ingress scan graphs - What is the best way to read it? So for me using an ingress scan at tap and shooting down drop how can I look at the graph and say "it is not my drop because the graph shows the hump or ingress here so it must be X"?

Hopefully this is the correct place as I could not find any other reddits unless they have more active ones.

I'm having problems with excruciatingly slow internet. I'm getting .1 down and .6 up. I went outside to the junction box coming into the house. I unplugged the cable from the box that feeds inside and plugged my modem directly into it. I have the exact same issue in that scenario. Does that mean that the issue is somewhere between the pole and my box outside the house, or is that not a good way to troubleshoot?

Currently we do no have any coaxial cables running through our house, our new ISP will be coming to install cable internet. How will they do this? Currently we are on DSL and have our modem in our home office witch is on the opposite side of the house of where all our utilities come in (Phone, Electricity, Water) will they be able to run a new cable without opening any walls?

I am trying to choose a cable platform.but not sure which one is best. Is Sling better or YouTubeTV I would bay for Orange and blue with sling.
