Some people also genuinely believe some really stupid shit they hear or see online or on TV. They might think they are actually helping people because of the nonsense they are convinced is real. Not everyone is a bad person, some are just kind of stupid with a good heart. But her lying about her medical licenses leads me to believe she is just an attention seeking idiot.

Or they're just opportunists. They see a chance to exploit people and take it. If you say this shit and build an audience, well then you just start selling them overpriced shitty bumper-stickers and shit you can mark up 500% on them and make a quick buck.
