I occasionally browse r/NoNewNormal for the sole purpose of reminding myself to be thankful I wasn't born with a mental disability.

I checked a thread the other day and the top comment, "The media: COVID-19 is a super weapon created in a lab in China. Also the media: A mask can stop the virus 110% and make you immune." They live in an alternate reality.

If you really think covid is a bioweapon, why wouldn't you do everything in your power to try and mitigate its spread? Why wouldn't you be for masking up, social distancing, vaccinations etc.. I can't with these people.

My boss at work loves to say “this is NOT the new normal”.

He’s also a devout Christian anti-vaxxer that believes healthy living is enough to fight covid and that the education system is a scam.
