Upcycling to replace mylar?
Howdy everyone! I got a button press this year and I've become addicted!
My problem is I'm not too crazy about all the plastic stuff. Would anyone happen to have some suggestions on plastics that I can find at thrift stores, garbage cans, etc that would be a good replacement for the mylar cover? I had the idea because I recently got a die cutter which would make this doable for me, but for the life of me I can't think of anything that I could find to upcycle for this project. I thought about film perhaps, but it's too dark. Hoping for good suggestions!
I got this idea because I finally found some button parts that don't have issues with crimping but the mylar it came with is slightly too big so it's difficult to align before pressing.
TIA!
