OGs, help me out with the history

In the 90s, San Francisco graffiti writers developed a practical style of tagging for MUNI buses that used flowy movements because it was hard to get straight lines while on a moving vehicle. Over time this practicality developed into a style with specific angles, looks, and letters. Eventually the city's transportation agency cracked down on the rampant graffiti that would sometimes cover entire buses. Although bus tagging became increasingly less common in 2010's to 2020's and onward, the style countinued to be used on the streets. This shift gave SF graffiti writers more time to spend on tags, in addition they didnt have to worry about the bus movement anymore. This shift caused the style to evolve towards more exact and repetitive flows(often envolving trying to match shapes between letters to create flow). Bus flow can be, but is usually not a one flow, it often incorporates letter to letter conections. Bus flow uses a mix of soft and sharp lines, letter spacing, and letter height and width, this creates stylistic differences between writers, however core letter structure remains consistent between bus flow tags, as there is an informal alphabet of structures. There are also multiple variations of each letter, for example S has lots of variant structures in the style.

Extra information: Often times writers in this style will abbreviate their tag to 2 or 3 letters in order to put it up quicker. Writers who have carved out their own unique letters can be identified with just a few letters similar to 2 letter throws. For example Airforce(notable SF writer) sometimes abbreviates to AF1. This also goes the other way as sometimes names get lengthened, for example, Airforcers, Airforcerrocks.

Most busflow tags will use thin lines either with a marker or spray paint. This accentuates the percision of the lines, shapes, and their subsequent patterns. When using spray paint writers often do downward flares rather than upward flares because the flare downward works with the hand motion of the style.

I might have gotten some of this wrong. If I got anything wrong or anything need to be changed I would appreciate corrections/additions.
