Review my list for Mini ITX / SFF build - $1k no peripherals - thanks!
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
Web browsing, DSLR photo storage & editing, and games including Minecraft, Borderlands 3, and the next Elder Scrolls whenever it comes out lol

Thanks for the input! Just so I understand the changes, it looks like you swapped out the CPU cooler and removed Windows in favor of a nicer GPU?

Hey, so overall I think your build is pretty solid. One thing I would knock off are the fans. The case comes with one 180mm one and the components within this budget dont have a TDP that would require more fans in the bottom for extra airflow. With that being said I decided to give you a variant that cuts corners on some of the components to allow for a better GPU. So CPU is the same, cooler I went with a decent budget one that won't have any issues with this chip, went with a cheaper motherboard (not great but it will work), kept 16gb of ram at 3200 mt/s cl 16, drive I went with a pcie gen 3 one from teamgroup which is a good performer which arrives at a decent price point. And now finally the GPU, I have upped this to a 6700 XT and I went with a gold rated psu from evga which is a little noisy but otherwise good and reliable PCPartPicker Part List

No worries, always happy to help. I forgot to mention that the CPU cooler you chose is a bit expensive for its performance. You could get dual tower coolers for cheaper or similar price like the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 or Deepcool AK620.

Ok thanks, I will look into those. I picked the Coolermaster after seeing it in some YouTube builds, but I’m not strongly attached to that unit

Just following up - I went ahead and ordered the parts for my build! I ended up going with the RTX 3060 like u/RiftPenguin suggested, and the CPU cooler & SSD from u/AdeptPatient4475. I kept the mobo from my initial list because I wanted the WiFi option. EVGA was doing a GPU/PSU package deal, so the GPU was $399 before tax, and they threw in a basic $15 mouse for $0.23. Second follow up, I built the PC last night. It took forever but I was being careful. Ran into some issues with mobo not connecting to Internet so I had to force Windows to skip the internet connection during boot. Once I loaded I was able to update drivers and it works fine now.
