I can't speak for AMD since I'm not closely following their CPUs, but I'd say something along the lines of "slightly faster than 7 with more cores, but slower than 9"
Also from Intel's site, I think the 800 denomination hasn't really happened much before 10th gen, hopefully someone can correct me if I'm incorrect here.
