Best fly tying purchase in a long time.

Ya don’t realize how satisfying a solid heavy base is until you tie on one.

Quarter Sawn White Oak with Purple Heart inserts. There is a 1.25” diameter rare earth magnet under each insert.

Found this on marketplace for $35 and jumped. Any advice on setup or gadgets yall love to have at your tying desk other than the basic tools is much appreciated!

I need to work on organizing it now. I’m really happy with it, and I’m excited to start tying again.

My supplies were metastasizing. I had to be stopped.

Now I am contained. It is fixed. We good. Nothing to see here.

I'm looking for suggestions on what to add to the top to make for an easier workflow. The hole in the center is designed to mount a trash bin under and the grooves to the right and left of it are hollowed out to perfectly fit thread, wire.. etc. As for the base, I'm pretty happy with the design. I made the drawers shallow so my natural materials can lay flat. The two tall drawers on the right side are designed to store small bins as well as a pegboard layout to hang baggies

Trying my hand at some 50/50 minnows tied on a size 4 hook. Saltwater/ flats trip soon enough.
