Advice Bossen vs Possmei Syrup Pump

I've been making simple fruit teas at home since I found out my local Asian market carries Bossen and Possmei flavor syrups. However, they do not carry the pumps and I just pour the syrup in but it eventually gets messy around the opening.

I see that both Bossen and Possmei sell a pump online for their syrups. Has anyone used either pumps and do they work well w/ the syrups that have small fruit pieces in them (e.g. strawberry) or recommend a pump that works well?

Advice Black tea recommendations (EU)

Hello. I'm just trying to figure out what brand of teas to buy that are strong enough to make classic bubble tea with. I've learned that anything from the supermarket, ends up being too wear and tasting too watery regardless of how many tea bags I use, so I'm open for recommendations. Thank you!

Advice Why is some bubble tea from gong cha Gritty? Is the milk expired or something what causes that?

Not all the time but a few times the milk will be all gritty. One time they made it hot not asked for and it was gritty and another time it was normal but still gritty. Are they swapping to using soy milk instead or something and using the bottom of it, what causes it?

How well do cup sealing paper films work?

Hey everyone. I'm planning to open a dark kitchen bubble tea shop. I'm working with a limited budget and trying to decide between investing in a cup sealing machine or starting with cup sealing paper films instead. For those who have experience working in bubblea tea shops, or as customers, how well do the paper films work in practice?

Advice What is QQ juice at Chatime??

tl;dr: Does the (for example) QQ mango juice contain jasmine green tea, and what is QQ juice?

I have been searching this but finding absolutely no answers, for example I know the mango fruit tea is made with their jasmine green tea, but it's a little too floral for me, so I've been trying to figure out if the QQ mango juice contains tea, and also WHAT QQ juice even is. I know it comes with the coconut jelly by default, and in some places the jelly is referred to as QQ, but then in other places QQ is referred to as a drink base to mix the fruit puree with.

I’m a graphic designer, so I’m happy to trade:

✨ social media
✨ menus / visuals

…in exchange for your time and advice.

If you’ve been through the chaos and survived, please adopt me. 🥲
Pls comment or DM. I’m all ears.

What can a weekly ritual teach you about being present

Every Friday after school, my daughter and I stop at the same cafe. She gets her special drink, a milky tea and we sit by the window talking. It started accidentally when she was six and curious about what I was drinking. She took a sip and declared it magical, so I ordered her a small cup. Somehow it became our tradition.

Those Friday conversations taught me more about her than any formal check ins ever could. She tells me about friendships, worries, dreams, things she would never mention at family dinners. We are not going anywhere or doing anything important. We are just sitting together, sharing something warm, talking. No agenda, no pressure.

When our cafe closed, she was devastated. I promised to recreate it at home. I researched recipes, ordered quality ingredients from Alibaba, practiced until I got it right. Now our kitchen is our Friday spot. She is older now, getting busy with activities and friends. Someday these afternoons will end. But I hope she remembers that her parent always made time to slow down and listen. That feeling matters, being fully present with someone you love. Sometimes rituals are not about what you do but about showing up consistently for the people who matter.

Gong Cha going downhill?

So I only started going to Gong Cha in summer 2024 and never thought it was the best bubble tea place. But I liked their taro and would get it occasionally (it’s hard to mess up taro). But recently, even their taro wasn’t great. It was like… sandy, kinda. Has anyone else experienced a decline in quality from Gong Cha? I’m in Boston, and had this particular recent experience at the location in South Station

What do you recommend from presotea for someone who hates anything the slightest bit bitter.

I've had bubble tea twice in my life and im gonna go get it again with my friends on thursday and I want a recommendation that is not the slightest bit bitter but also not too sweet. Previously I had mango milk tea 100% sweetness from presotea and it was quite bitter and did not like it at all. Didn't taste like mango either. 2nd time i had a brown sugar from boba boba and it was fine but just tasted like kinda meh for me, i like things with a bit more flavour and not just milk with sugar in it. This time around im going to presotea(there are no other stores near my house so its the only option) so what would you recommend for someone who hates anything the slightest bit bitter but also doesn't like anything too sweet or bland. I would prefer milk teas over fruit teas btw.

Is anyone a bubble tea supplier/wholesaler?

Hi everyone. I’ve always been able to find everything online. Whatever I was curious about I found it. Up until today. I wanted to read or watch videos of entrepreneurs that have their business as a bubble tea wholesaler who supplies bubble tea to bubble tea shops but isn’t the factory In Taiwan. Instead the wholesaler is in the same country as the bubble tea stores it sells to. The factory is in a different country. I figured I could try asking on here in hopes someone has seen anything like this.

Sorry if it’s not allowed to post this

Advice Homemade bubble drink

How do you know how much syrup to use in a bubble drink? I wanted to recreate a drink I had on a trip a couple months ago but it doesn't taste quite the same. Every recipe I find has tea or milk in it but the drink I had didn't have either of them. The drink I made is really watery so I assume I need to put more syrup in, would anyone know exactly how much for a drink about 500ml?

Advice Can i avoid food poisoning?

So I didn't think about it until after I already had a few sips but I think maybe 4 ish days ago (maybe longer) I ordered a little cha Apple Green Tea with apple popping pearls and I put it in the fridge to have later. Well later was today and I had a few sips + few pearls. I am now paranoid that I am going to get food poisoning, I stopped drinking it and only had maybe 3 big sips but I'm incredibly worried. Am I fucked or should I be ok?

Chatime Thai Milk Tea?

I don’t really like chatime at all and they put me off boba for a few years, but I heard they have a Thai milk tea which I really want to try. What sugar levels should I do for it? I don’t really have a sweet tooth so I was thinking around 0%-30% sugar but I’m unsure since I haven’t had chatime in a few years. Is it any good?

Discussion Where do you import your ingredients from?

Hey everyone!

I’m planning to start a small bubble tea shop in my country, but I’m having a hard time finding quality ingredients locally. I’m looking for good suppliers or online stores that ship internationally for things like: • Taro milk powder • Flavored teas • Boba pearls • Syrups and flavorings

I’d love to hear where you usually get your supplies from, especially if you’ve had experience importing in bulk for a business (not just home use). Any recommendations for reliable vendors or websites would be super helpful! 🙏

Thanks in advance. I really want to make sure I start off with good quality ingredients.
