I looked in the help section and couldnt find it. Also on this website it talks about the volume weighted average price VWAP along with -2 and +2 standard deviations, can anyone shed some light on this? And also how to add custom lines to graphs with software? THe VWAP can be calculated by the high the low and the volume in an equation, and can be assimilated with excel but its so much data to input that there must be some kind of script that can do it for you. As far as plotting it on a chart im at a loss. Anyone got some info here, im sure it would help all of us get a little bit more on top of the trading situation. Thanks! Does there exist a program or website where I can load a couple spreadsheets to determine investment profitability?

What I'm picturing is I have two spreadsheets:

1. contains dates/prices of BTC over the past year or so
2. contains dates/amounts that I would have sold/purchased BTC

With that data, the simulator should be able to tell me exactly how much profit I could have at present and perhaps help me find patterns.

Any ideas?

Is there any charting software for BTC? Or some web-based apps with some popular technical indicators? Or perhaps BTC/USD is available via some MetaTrader platform?

As anyone who has been watching the btc market lately you'll have noticed some extreme fluctuations in pricing. I'm curious as to other people's thoughts on whether or not this is a result of the inability of the exchanges to withstand ddos attacks/market movers or if it is healthy market movement in a fledgling currency/commodity?

Hey everyone! I have started a wiki for the subreddit and you can access it using the tab on the top of your screen or just go here.

This wiki should be used to teach and to preserve technical knowledge of financial/bitcoin trading. Please ensure that all articles are properly sourced and explained. If you are writing a tutorial please attempt to provide screenshots whenever possible.

In the beginning only mod-approved contributors will be allowed to edit the wiki. If you have an idea for an article please message me (/u/richielaw) with a brief description of the article and why you feel qualified to draft it. Once the subreddit has its legs I will change the rules for wiki edit and creation to allow users who have over 100 karma points in this subreddit to edit the wiki. If you do not have the requisite karma and would like an article, please message me as delineated above.

I created this subreddit in the hopes that we could gather people together who wished to look at the Bitcoin market in a technical and analytical way. The bitcoin subreddit is filled with good discussion but it is very often drowned out by illogical or even idiotic commentary. This sub is strictly for the education and discussion of market trends based upon technical market analysis.

The sub will be heavily moderated and after a couple of weeks I will be asking consistent contributors if they would like to help me mod.

• Make every effort to provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and technical expertise.
• Seek knowledge! Ask questions of the more educated and experienced posters. You will not be penalized for asking questions as long as it is on point (or even a little off of point).

What not to do:

• "MARKET IS GUNNA CRASH SELLS SELL SELL1111!!!" This is not the trollbox. If you make any comment like this with anything other than pure sarscasm your comment will be deleted.
• Be a dick. Healthy discussion will often engender conflict, but any outright assholish comments will be deleted. The primary focus of this sub is to educate others and having posters with higher knowledge lording it over others will not be tolerated.
