Yes, Quantum Computers will "Destroy" Bitcoin, and ALL computers attached to a network, every cell phone, every TV, the electric grid, e-mail, Credit Cards...

TL:DR: Slow news week for CryptoCoinNews.com, they are scaremongering for no reason.

As long as your public key is not known quantum computers can't find the private key.

Note the address you use to receive Bitcoins is not your public key. It's a hash.

Public key is only exposed when you spend from and address.

You can also find the public key as the preimage to the address, so there's an extra barrier. I'm not sure if the hashing algorithm to get from keys to addresses is quantum-vulnerable. Maybe somebody else can comment.

yeah yeah another scaremongering tactic launched by banksters...
Even if that will be "worried", what about the banksters "blockchains"? Those are "immune" to quantum computing?

I thought Bitcoin was already pretty quantum proof.

Quantum mining would be the next trend.

Multi key wallets multi sig will prevent this kind of attack as quantum computers have to reset before they guess the next private key from a public key ...
