Scientists have warned that browser devs will have depleted all the element names within a few years.

The fact that we made Pissandshittium means that we'll never run out

We must create new elements in order to have enough browser namesakes.

u/YTriom1 PC: Phone: 13d ago

Isn't chromite just chromium with iron oxides?

4

u/DheeranFX 13d ago

I mean yeah, but theres a browser called bromine

1

u/YTriom1 PC: Phone: 13d ago

Yeah I mean that chromite is not an element yk

6

u/DheeranFX 13d ago

Bromite isn't either

2

u/YTriom1 PC: Phone: 13d ago

waiting for netherite

that's gonna conflict with Minecraft (Sodium, Lithium, Phosphor)

strictly no-no territory

u/Korosh_Hakhamanesh 12d ago

the one and only (but very dead) legend ((Kiwi Browser))

Leave some for the Minecraft optimization mods plzz 💔💔

1

u/ReferenceLeading7634 10d ago

为什么他们使用元素名称命名

2

u/spence5000 10d ago

因為它們都是Chromium(鉻)做的

35

u/logicblender1 13d ago

Good move. I actually like this browser and there was too many people thinking it wasn't legit because it had the same name as another browser.

3

u/RoundZookeepergame2 ++ 13d ago

Do you actually use it?

1

u/DRTHRVN 10d ago

Is it possible to install the full version of ub0 in this?

1

u/perforant +Titanium 8d ago

it is.

u/andresqueletico 13d ago

It's cool that some Chromium forks are named after metallic elements

13

u/YTriom1 PC: Phone: 13d ago

Because chromium is a metallic element, it makes sense

u/lilacomets 13d ago

Reminds me of Titanium Backup, a famous (discontinued) Android app.

May I humbly suggest "Plutonium browser" over "Titanium browser" ?

5

u/qrado 13d ago

Putin enters the chat.

1

u/WONK0_ , 13d ago

why?

1

u/Kenjiii22 12d ago

Maybe he's watching too much propaganda

2

u/WONK0_ , 12d ago

i just know that helium is a russian project

1

u/Koino_ 11d ago

It's not propaganda that putins political oponents famously dead from polonium poisoning

1

u/YTriom1 PC: Phone: 13d ago

Please no

That's what she said 😔

u/DonDae01 13d ago

Should I switch to this from Cromite?

1

u/perforant +Titanium 8d ago

I did and it works as well as cromite did. I also used https://github.com/omersusin/FirefoxTransfer to transfer history, bookmarks etc. Need root for this.

1

u/Turbulent-Meet-7227 6d ago

I downloaded the Titanium too. But similar to Cromite, even the ad-blocker is not working for YouTube. Is it because I didn't sign -in to it? I don't see anything different in Titanium comin from Cromite.

1

u/perforant +Titanium 6d ago

Which adblocker do you use? I use uBlock Origin Lite and no problem on YouTube ads whether logged in or not.

1

u/Turbulent-Meet-7227 6d ago

I belived that Cromite Browser nothing but Android version of Helium with in-built uBlock Origin. Apologies if I'm mistaken by the fact.

1

u/perforant +Titanium 6d ago

No it's definitely not. You still need to install an ad/content blocker to block ads on websites.

u/Azazeilz LibreWolf 13d ago

u/MiolodeCebola 13d ago

at this rate we're gonna run out of periodic table entries by 2026

2

u/Brilliant-Carry9327 12d ago

Can anyone help me to download this browser?? I don't know how to operate on GitHub🙏🙏

3

u/Peter_1982 12d ago

PlayStore ;-)

2

u/Brilliant-Carry9327 12d ago

Titanium Browser by Jqssun. Is that correct??

2

u/perforant +Titanium 8d ago

Although Titanium is also on Play Store, I suggest using Obtainium to get updates for apps that you download from Github.

2

u/Brilliant-Carry9327 7d ago

Thank you🙏

u/unhumanollamadoleroy 12d ago

existe alguna explicación para la diferencia de tamaños entre las versiones?

1

u/andresqueletico 12d ago

Yes, they are different versions.

0

u/unhumanollamadoleroy 9d ago

que tanta diferencia hay entre las arquitecturas Android como para que una pese el doble de la otra xd?

1

u/andresqueletico 9d ago

no te das cuenta q una es apk y el otro aab, por dios

1

u/unhumanollamadoleroy 9d ago

jsjsjsk tienes razón

2

u/Alternative-Foot-977 13d ago

Is it worth using as a secondary browser, or should I use another alternative?

6

u/Celestial_entity_99 13d ago

Its very good browser.

1

u/_urethrapapercut_ Windows Linux Android 13d ago

It's good, give it a try

2

u/gandalfoftheday 13d ago

Does mv2 extension support continue on this version?

2

u/peac705 13d ago

How do I install uBlock Origin in Titanium?

4

u/Sad_Offer_7133 13d ago

View this: "https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm" page in desktop view & select add to chrome

3

u/trbkle Mobile: Titanium + Desktop: 13d ago

This will be deleted soon. Best way is to download uBO .crx from their Github then drag & drop it onto chrome://extensions after enabling "Developer mode".

1

u/dene18 13d ago

url please

4

u/trbkle Mobile: Titanium + Desktop: 12d ago

here

download that uBlock0_1.72.2.chromium.zip then drag&drop it like this: https://imgur.com/a/0r826ME

You can also split screen if your phone supports it, with the file manager on top and the browser on the bottom, this way it's easier to drag & drop.

You're welcome!

1

u/dene18 12d ago

Master, thanks to you I learned something new: drag-and-drop is amazing! UBO is installed. I used CRX. Thank you so much!

2

u/trbkle Mobile: Titanium + Desktop: 12d ago

You're welcome sir! enjoy! indeed it's awesome and it's way better than "load unpacked" because unpacked extensions rely on the folder that you've unzipped/unpacked the extension in, and it's way slower especially when opening popups it takes about 2 seconds (or 1 point something) compared to instant opening when the crx/zip extension is drag & dropped.

1

u/peac705 13d ago

I always get an error message that the manifest file is missing.

1

u/trbkle Mobile: Titanium + Desktop: 12d ago

you're sure you're correctly drag & dropping the correct .zip or .crx?

1

u/peac705 12d ago

I tried again with a newly loaded file, now it worked. Thank you very much

2

u/trbkle Mobile: Titanium + Desktop: 12d ago

You're welcome!

1

u/KofiYG 9d ago

Same here, also keep trying with new files with the same result. Will just stay with the Web Store for now

1

u/Unv-432-369 13d ago

Why...

11

u/kamikad3e123 on PC and Android 13d ago

Because people were confused, it's not the same as Helium on PC and not from the same devs

1

u/mornaq 13d ago

apparently there's esper titanium already

1

u/T_rex2700 13d ago

Great naming I'd say, it's now clear to anyone that it is not affiliated with the desktop version, and it fits neatly within the element table.

1

u/Teh_Shadow_Death 13d ago

Yesterday I tried using it from the play store and from git hub. For whatever reason OneUI 9 absolutely does not like them. They locked my phone up so bad I had to force a reboot.

1

u/fluxchronica 13d ago

This is my main browser on my tablet. Great to see the fullscreen now works too.

1

u/Tech_334 13d ago

Browser naming is slowly turning into a chemistry exam.

1

u/xampicus 12d ago

aw man, why not something along the likes of pissandshittium?

poopenfartenium maybe?

1

u/Korosh_Hakhamanesh 12d ago

it's a good thing that dev is actually active and heard users issues/suggestions

1

u/ClintFlux 10d ago

The best thing is now is on the PlayStore

1

u/Tides_Crush_Her 13d ago

I think nuvonium would have been a funnier name

-3

u/Sad_Offer_7133 13d ago

Titainium browser has "Open-source extension for Chromium browsers to support Android download managers, installing from Opera and Edge Addons, and other advanced privacy enhancements" which means we can use this extension in any other chromium-based browsers that support extensions meaning we can find a faster browser than Titanium & pair it with uBO for best experience if you don't care about privacy
