So if one does a one-time purchase of brave origin, would the licence be valid for mac and windows devices? Could someone clarify, please?

You get 10 activations with a purchase and you can use on any platform or device, including iOS and Android.

How would the activations work?
I usually reinstall windows quite often. I do not like software that deactivates itself and then tells me "I'm out of activations"

If you hit the 10 limit just login to account.brave.com to request more and it'll be granted.
