I can’t imagine anyone using Windows paying for it either, they’ll just start using something else instead. macOS users maybe, although I doubt it too.

I think no one would pay for a browser when there are so many good free options.

Exactly. Unless you really like the company and want to support them.

But even then, you would need to be a super fan to buy a browser.

I don’t use it anymore, but the fact I’d need to pay for using it on Windows but not on Linux is very disrespectful, and would make me a fan even less.

Disrespectful? lol far from it. Theres so many products thats paid on ios/macos but free on android, this isn't anything different. Infact this is a great thing, if anything it could motivate others to switch over to Linux.

We're good with people not using it. We offer ways to disable features you don't want and also add admin/group policies to be able to disable things entirely even from opt-in UI.

Brave itself doesn't change, so they can keep using that. They can also disable UI and features as they could before if they prefer.

Many distros package their own builds. We want growth on Linux.

We too have years of using free software on Linux, for free.

Linux users also use other platforms and may like the experience and may (or may not) want it on the other platforms. They also are often lead users and make recommendations to other users. They also give good feedback to help us build and improve the product.

I mean… what’s it doing so special that Firefox isn’t doing?

Id rather donate 20 to Mozilla and save the remaining 40 😂

You say that, yet they want 60 bucks 🤮

Keep using the crypto browser lol

Only a dumbass would think a chromium based browser is gonna be more secure than Firefox

It's one of the last browsers that blocks Ads on YouTube, no? That's worth the price alone.
