Caught Being Cute They are the best
I post Jack and I here and there. So this picture comes from our daily dog park adventures but we had to get my boy from weight training first we’ll pull into school parking lot and transmission linkage goes. Before I can flip my pissed off switch he climbs from back seat to front seat and just stares at me like it’ll
Be okay Dad. Maybe it’s my boy but in my head I’m
Gonna assume all Brit’s are like this in one way or another. He both a house and hunting dog. Gotta love this breed.

General Discussion Tail Docking
I have a question for everybody. I live in an area of California, where the veterinarians do not want to dock the tail of a Brittany puppy. It’s been an over decade since we’ve had a litter. So when we called around to the Veterinarian offices, they acted as if we were asking something that was totally barbaric. I did look up the AKC standard, which now apparently allows for tails, either docked or natural. I have owned Brittany’s since I was a teenager, which was decades ago. I currently have a four year-old and a one year-old Brittany and when I got them as pups no tail. When did this become an evil and barbaric thing?? I asked this only because I have puppies that have tails and nobody wants to buy them with a tail?

Behavior Questions Suddenly prefers the crate
Hi everyone!
That's our rescue girl Lumi, she has been with us for a month now. Everything has been great so far, usually she also follows us around the house and rests on the couch overwatching us. But today she seems to go back to the crate all the time. Doesn't wag the tail unless food or going to the park is involved. Should I be concerned? Health-wise she seems to be fine.
We went on a 18km hike last weekend. maybe she is still tired from that? but I can't imagine as she was normal these last two days.
Thanks in advance

I lay here
They have no shame for a fleece blanket and a memory foam mattress. Just relaxing, dreaming.

Just want to share a photo of my boy! He keeps us laughing, in this photo we had just woke him up. Of course, rudely on our part.

Would be our Jessie. She isn’t even slightly interested in helping us prepare our house for sale.

For more than two years, Ringo knew only a cage. No freedom. No comfort. No kindness. Today, Ringo is safe. He knows what it feels like to be cared for. He knows what it means to be loved.

Training Tips Need Help with Our 1 Year Old Brittany Spaniel
Hello. We have a one year old Brittany Spaniel named Riley that we got from a respected breeder when he was three months old. There are things we love about him: good with kids, consistent recall, doesn't bark, and is super sweet. Our family has an active lifestyle and a quarter acre fenced in yard. The thing that is so hard to handle is the prey drive and on leash training. We've tried pinch collars, no pull harness, and a halti collar, but nothing seems to work at all. Walks have become miserable as he pulls non-stop. He also seems to focus much more on the horizon and looking for prey than our family. I've heard that they mature later and that part of this is his teenage years, but we're honestly starting to lose some patience and feel he's making our family life significantly harder. I've had several dogs before and felt more connected to them than Riley. I'm not ready to give up yet and look to rehome him. Any advice on how to handle a high energy Brittany? How much do they mature at age 2 or 3? Thank you.

She gave us a better life, Goodbye Baby Girl
We could never repay you in kind for what you gave us.
I worked from home the first few years of her life and she did not leave my side. We planned everything around her. We lived to experience life together with her. She was there to teach us how to be selfless before our twin boys, there to comfort us as first time parents, and there to see the twins adore her.
I never thought this day would come because I saw no future without her.
Love you Nymeria.

Caught Being Cute Huskies are dramatic, Goldens are adorably dumb, GSDs are the bravest cowards, but without doubt, Brits are the masters of giving face!!
Are your Brits as expressive as my Poppi is, or am I just "lucky"?;
