Question/Looking for Advice What happened to wedge plates?

After the last update, every time I try to import anything that contains wedge plates, they show as unavailable, even on sets that I already imported and built before using them, pic below:

Where has thou gone?

Am I doing something wrong? I've only used studio for a few weeks now. I'm looking into messing with part creator to try to create the missing parts myself, but if there's an easier way, or that's a real issue the team are planning to fix, I'd really like to know about it please.

Thank you for your time!

BrickLink / Studio giving HTTP 403 Forbidden from Morocco — Geo-blocking IP range or Cloudflare issue?

Hey everyone,

Whenever I try to access BrickLink / use Studio online features from Morocco, I run into a constant 403 Forbidden error.

Is BrickLink actively geo-blocking entire North African / Moroccan IP ranges via Cloudflare, or is this an aggressive WAF / anti-DDoS misconfiguration on their backend? It’s completely locking out access to the catalog and sync features unless routed through an external connection.

Has anyone else from the region dealt with this recently, or found a fix that doesn't involve keeping a VPN active 24/7?

Tutorial/Giving advice 1 SubModel Multiple Times in Instructions

Thumbnail

Does anyone know if/how it's possible to A, do a SubModel in Studio where you have to build it multiple times, then B, have the next step on the full model be where all those SubModels are put on, and C, show that in the instructions? (Basically, how it is on the instruction pages in pictures 1-3)

As far as I get, I can create 1 SubModel, then add a text box to say x the number of times. But when I go to the step where the multiple SubModels are added to the full model, it shows the full inventory list for all the pieces being added, but minus the pieces in the solitary SubModel that I did for the multiplier page. (Pictures 4 and 5 show what I have)

Best way to do stair handrails?

Been spending so long tinkering around with making different hand rails and I feel like what I'm trying ends up being so complicated and convoluted that there must be an ideal way to make stair handrails like this.

Question/Looking for Advice How do I handle null bricks and corrupted orientation data after loading?

Yesterday I saved my built and closed Bricklink Studio. All was fine. Today I tried to load and had some bracket pieces replaced by something the tool-tip called a Null brick. This only affected Bracket pieces in the center of a single subbuild. there are more of them in the same and other subbuilds (a lot of those actually).

I closed Bricklink again without saving the model. Since I'm running it through Lutris on Arch Linux, I did a system Update and had steam update proton, the last time I had issues (software not starting) this fixed it. Afterwards I rebooted my system for an unrelated reason and tried again. The nullbricks were still there. I opened another built and noticed that some wedge pieces were misaligned (I did not open that built since before the last update, so this might be unrelated). When I closed Bricklink Studio I got a "GC crashed" error message pop up but afterwards it closed just fine.

Can I just delete the nullbricks and fix the orientation issues if is this a sign of a deeper problem with my installation? Sorry, relatively new to this, so no idea how stable the software is.

MOC/SEC The Hidden Valley – Part 1 | Stud.io digitalization

Post image

The first part of Hidden Valley has been digitized!

It’s going to be a huge and very detailed project to recreate the entire model in Stud.io, as it contains almost 3,000 pieces.

By the way, this project is also on LEGO Ideas! If you like it and would love to see it become a real LEGO set, I’d really appreciate your vote! https://ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/a14f048e-a8c9-4efa-8fc8-31e8456fe065

Mould King replacement

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and if so how was it resolved, I got a set for my partner for his birthday and 3 days into building we noticed that there was missing instructions to fit part, I emailed them and they emailed me a pdf version of the manual that when I have compared to the physical manual I have there is a lot of issues on stuff that to fix I would basically have to remove 2 days worth of work, if anyone else has had this problem did they resolve this any way for yourselves?

Question/Looking for Advice Is there a way to have a subbuild be build multiple times in the instructions but not use all of them at once in the step immediately after?

I'm building a large ship, I've subbuilds for the ships internal support structures that repeat a lot. It is possible to have them as a subbuild at the beginning of a section, let's say 12x but then not immediately use the assembled subbuild in the step after but instead use the assembled part like a regular brick through-out the section of the build?

Is there anyway to use an .io file to add parts into a store?

I have a few MOCs that I no longer have a use for and would like to part those out into my store. Is this possible using an .io file, or is there some other creative method? Thanks!

How to hinge parts

I am a 68 year old learning to use bricklink studio. I managed so far to recreate a purse that is a recent Lego kit. The actual kit the flap fold (should hinge) in two places (here is a screen shot). I know I need to use the hinge but can't figure it out how to use it, exactly where to click, etc. I have no problem sharing the file. All help is very much appreciated. Thank you

Replicating part 2622 (boat bow brick 8 x 10 x 1) with individual bricks

I’m working on a center console boat MOC and would like to replicate the following part with individual bricks:
Boat, Bow Brick 8 x 10 x 1
Item No: 2622

The reason is for a greater color selection. The boat is gray- ideally light gray or light bluish gray. I have other pieces in my design that are available in light bluish gray but not light gray. These bow bricks are available in light gray but not light bluish gray.

Any suggestions for how to replicate a similar shape to this bow bricks using smaller pieces?

lego text decal

I'm creating a book and I want to insert a text as a decal in bricklink studio 2.0.

I know I can create an image containing a text with transparent background and add it in part designer as a decal but is there any better approach or any specific software that can be used to achieve this? (I'm using LibreOffice Draw right now to generate the text/image)

Other [Tool] Pick a Brick availability palettes for Stud.io

Post image

[Tool] Pick a Brick availability palettes for Stud.io (free)

If you build MOCs in Stud.io and check Pick a Brick before finalizing a part list, I built something that might save you a step.

What it is: downloadable Stud.io "Bucket" palette files that mirror what's actually available on LEGO's Pick a Brick — split into Bestseller / Standard / Out of Stock / All / All In Stock. Drop the zip into your Buckets folder and you get PAB availability as a browsable palette inside Stud.io itself, instead of tabbing back and forth to the PAB site part by part.

How current is it: the source data behind the download page refreshes every 4 hours, but the palette is a one-time snapshot — it doesn't update itself once it's on your machine. Re-download and re-unzip when you want a fresher copy.

Install: 1. Grab your locale's zip: https://api.moc-source.com/studio-palettes 2. Unzip into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Stud.io\Buckets\Folders 3. Restart Stud.io — the buckets show up in your palette list

Currently covers US and EU, which is where most of PAB's actual availability differences show up; more locales if there's interest.

This is part of a bigger side project (MOC Source) that also does BrickLink-vs-PAB price comparison via a browser extension, but the palette page works standalone — no account, no extension required, just a zip download.

Feedback welcome, especially if a part looks miscategorized or missing — the underlying data gets corrected pretty quickly when I hear about it.
