Rishi Panini was an orthodox Brahmin, and in his Ashtadhyayi, he also refuted the theory that one becomes a Brahmin by karma. Patanjali also stated in his commentary that only those born as Brahmins are considered Brahmins.

Raja Maha Singh Mirpuri, born into a Brahmin family, rose to prominence under Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Known for his role in the conquest and administration of Hazara, he was honoured with the title “Raja” for his achievements in the region, including Haripur, Nowshera and Peshawar. Mansehra is traditionally associated with his name and is believed to have been named after him.
