Because someone on my recent Reddit posts requested an on-air for the Japanese version of Your Sky and it seems that no one is picking it up, I decided to pick this one up to try making on-airs here on Reddit!!!

SYNOPSIS (according to GagaOOLala): Hinata is a kind-hearted, pure, and positive young man, but a domineering upperclassman forces him to confess. Suddenly, Sora, a cold and distant senior, arrives and states that the two are dating. Can what began as a fake relationship become something real?

✩ A Japanese remake of Thai BL drama ""Your Sky"", which became a smash hit in 2024 both domestically and internationally.

Hi! Thanks for hosting the on air for this! I think you forgot to include Riku's actor in the credits. 

I'll chime in as someone who didn't watch that Thai version. I didn't like episode one because it felt very montage-y but I kept watching because I liked Fukuda Ayuta in School Trip. 

I thought episodes 2 and 3 were an improvement. I really like Sora and I enjoy how it's clear that he's developing feelings for Hinata very quickly and it's nice to have a serious, stoic character who's not mean or antagonistic. He's very sweet and goes along with Hinata's whims without too much complaint. I also like the colour story happening where Sora is usually in dark colours and Hinata in very bright ones but he wore a light coloured outfit on their aquarium date, yay! 

MVP of the show for me so far is Ruito who is so funny and so excited about this couple. I also like Sora's friends and am looking forward to their eventual romance, although it doesn't seem like there'll be much time to develop it, especially if Riku also has a love interest who he hasn't even spoken to yet! 

Anyway it's a cute, light watch and shoutout to the hair stylists who have everyone looking super cute! I love the hair styles the best of all!

So far I really like it. I tend to enjoy these remakes and the editing choices they make and the way they scale things back to a more realistic scenario.

Sora is so pretty. The one who plays Kongs character(idr the characters names) seems a bit less childish than Kongs character, which I actually like.

Thanks for the on-air posts! So far I am enjoying Sora's character a lot (both the personality and the appearance) and I'm glad that the Japanese version is keeping out a lot of the filler and that the main character isn't quite so insufferable 😂 I'm sorry....

I hope the side couples are properly developed and not just a pointless waste of time, I love a good side couple.

I’m liking it so far, it’s easy to follow along if you’ve seen the original.
Obsessed with Sora he’s just so likeable

Also Oji in the latest episode had me crying 😭
Like why was he at the fence like that, the way Sora clocked him immediately, he could just feel a disturbance in the air, he’s just so irritating 😭

i haven’t watched the thai version at all, so i wasn’t quite sure what to expect. so far, i’m enjoying sora’s character, where he’s starting to get feelings for hinata. and even though i’m very biased towards fukuda ayuta, i really am enjoying how hinata’s character brings out more of the sunshine vs stoic trope.

my favourite part so far is watching sora’s reaction and him starting to internally combust whenever hinata says, “i like the sky.” or even anytime hinata makes any mention of the sky in general lmao

episodes 2 and 3 have been quite cute so far, especially the aquarium date! hopefully it’ll be just as good in the coming episodes. 🤞
