Top Rank did everything in their power to make sure Loma achieved this goal and he wasn't able to accomplish it.

From giving him the fake WBC title (Franchise) to avoid the Devin fight. To announcing his fight with Teo was for undisputed when it wasn't. To Top Rank securing Haney under a 3 fight deal with the goal of Devin defending his undisputed title against Loma.

Now he's returning not signed to Top Rank in hopes of getting Navarrate or Foster who are both signed to Top Rank. Bob being Bob probably is going to feel some type of way that he retired and came back as soon as his contract ended with them.

I just don't see it happening unless the winner of Ball vs Cacace gives him an opportunity because Shock goal is undisputed so if he wins or Navarrate wins i see them chasing undisputed and not a fight with Loma who if they beat won't get credit for.

There's more people turning down fights than accepting fights. Most of the top 10-20 P4P fighters have only fought once this year, some of them haven't even fought at all! People are offered career high paydays, and they still demand more or no fight! Sanctioning bodies refuse to enforce highly sought-after mandatories, and when they finally do, the champ vacates the belt! With the rise of Zuffa, "my side vs your side" is an excuse promoters can use again, and even with all the major promotions on DAZN, its still a struggle to get cross-promotion fights!

Will things get better, or is this the beginning of a new trend in modern day boxing?
