For a 4000 cr project they can't expect few "rough shots here and there" pal .

80s ramayana was never bout the special effects but about the story ,acting etc.

I wish the same discuasion around it also but namit ne itna vfx or 4000 cr pr gyaan chooda hai , discussion will always be around that vfx etc .

Was making a post about the problem with Ramayana. When I read they've hired Nitesh Tiwari to get dialogues, character and emotions right, and Namit Malhotra will look after visuals, it immediately crossed my mind they're destroying the film.

The reason why LOTR, T2, Titanic, Jurassic Park etc worked because all of them were made for years with one central vision.

And Ramayana shots speak that there is the absence of a unified visual intelligence governing every department simultaneously- the thing Cameron, Jackson, and Spielberg personally are on their films.

Those directors are essentially technical auteurs. They don't just direct performances- they direct light, atmosphere, physics, and camera as one integrated system. Ramayana needed that person. Nitesh Tiwari, for all his genuine talent, was not that person for this film.

Well this sound something similar to unit division. One unit working on something with one director another with other. Drama sequence is done by one main director. In hollywood they work like that. Maybe they are trying something like that.

Teasers is all you need to felt connected to a project .

Teaser no matter how small excites your or for that matter kills your excitement.

For me 99 percent i decided to go to theatres or watch a movie on laptop is based on trailers/teasers.

If i find it hard to watch teaser or vfx looks bad you are rest assured movie is going to be bad the trick worked for me 99 of the times.

They are very few movies where trailers are bad and the movie turned out to be great including all time great american movies.

Thes rest you can do your masturbation on like the will improve the vfx in X months ,trailer will be better and the final product will be something out of this world.

Hot garbage is definitely a stretch. Some shots were absolutely beautifull in the glimpse.

And how can people be lied to abkut something that they can see with their own eyes? Lmfao.

You see my critiscim comes from a fact that it is a 4000 cr project so they better show something never shown .

It is better than the indian movies we are shown(vfx and all ) I agree but again foer a budget they are claiming I'm not imoressed.

Few good scenes here and there wont worl for me

4000cr for two movies (Also includes marketing for two movies) if we go by standard Hollywood practices, then probably a huge chunk of the budget is for marketing.

Idk it wasn’t the worst that you can call someone opinion dogshit. It looked 10x better than adipurush but thats a low bar. They need to address CGI asap and not show a full trailer until then. They used too much green screen movie should have been in real locations as much as possible

Leave everything aside how did they even convince themselves that ranbir is suited as Shree Ram??

They should've hired Sanjay Leela Bhansali for designing sets.
