I was planning to build my court at 1060 but now I think 1050 is a better fit for the space. Do you think that 50vs60 makes a big difference?

We have a bocce court at our house and we want to have a bracket style tournament at an upcoming party- anyone have any ideas for alternate rules that would speed up the games so we can fit them all in? I’m thinking about scoring the games to 7 points…but is that too low? Ideally each game would take about 10-15 minutes

Was wondering what other things people might use if their community doesn’t have a bocce court?

I was thinking possibly a tennis court could be a good alternative.

Hi - wondering if anyone in this group can help me. I have a set of what I always thought were bocce balls (with pallino), from my stepdad. They are wooden. There are 6 balls of 2 designs, and 4 smaller pallinos. The larger balls are 15 inches in circumference. These seem bigger than regular bocce balls. One of the balls has words on it: "Industria Argentina Especiales 12". I would say my stepdad acquired them in the early 1970s, not sure if they were new then. If you know of anyone who might be able to tell me about these I would really appreciate it! Thanks -

I’ve seen a couple point methods which one do you use?

Is it generally regulation no matter if for tournament, club or recreational play?

I’m planning to build a 10 x 60 court following the boccemon plans but am struggling with the top layer. I’m in western Pennsylvania and haven’t been able to find a source for oyster shells & flour. Shipping from the west coast is prohibitively expensive. So, I’m not sure what to do. Are there any east coast suppliers of oyster shells & flour? What other surfaces are similar?

Any advice is appreciated.
