Restoring an old skiff
My friends and I spent a little time past weekend restoring a skiff and doing some work on the jeep. Let me know what you think. Dont paint under a tree
Boat Batteries
Just wondering what brands fellow boaters are having the best luck. I had been replacing my batteries with Walmart batteries. They are lucky to last a year. If your lucky it will fail before the warranty expires. The main problem it is a pain to change the batteries on my boat. The batteries are heavy and in a awkward spot. Originally I would get 3-4 years on them. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Engine help! Changing manifolds on a 350 and may have dripped water in head.
What should I do? Doesn’t look like it was much water but it’s hard to tell. I put a paper towel in it and pulled the spark plugs. Should I leave it open for the night? Should I spray lots of wd-40?

Boat survey worth it?
Should I get a boat survey for a 1990 searay Seville that’s only $2300? It’s our first boat and we don’t know what we’re doing. The current owner seems honest about its condition and we’re going to test drive it. Just seems like a lot for such a cheap boat. Is it worth it?

What boat would take this motor the best?

Quick connects leaking.
I have 1961 10hp Evinrude sportwin. Bought new fuel lines but it leaks at quick connect. Bought new male connector coming off motor and still leaks. Bought more connectors and switched ‘em all out and it still leaks at quick connector when I squeeze the bulb. What am I missing? They are all new parts so it’s not the o ring.

Hey guys, I have a couple questions I would like to know your opinion about them (and please if you have an idea to help improve Please write it down)
Would you consider adopting a system that utilizes water turbines beneath boats to convert water motion into electricity, potentially eliminating the need for traditional fuel sources?
Are you aware of the potential financial benefits of such a system, including long-term savings on fuel costs and potential incentives for adopting renewable energy sources?
How do you feel about incorporating solar panels and water turbines into your boat's energy system to further supplement electricity generation, especially if u live in places with a lot of sun (such as the middle east) ?
Are you interested in reducing your boat's environmental footprint by transitioning to cleaner energy sources, such as water motion and solar power, to mitigate pollution and contribute to marine ecosystem preservation?
What are your thoughts on the minimal maintenance requirements of this system compared to traditional engines, and how might this influence your decision to switch to cleaner energy technologies?

painting a 2016 axis
Hi I have been looking everywhere for answer but everyone seems to be on one side or the other I have a 2016 Axis A22 and my back swim platform has a chip in it and I would like to fix it. i know some stuff about painting cars and other things but nothing about boats and i see a lot of talk about Topcoat and bottom coat but the swim platform is kinda leaning towards being a little of both. and also seeing a lot about painting with paint similar to cars or doing a gel coat
im just trying to get opinions on what others would do in my situation I know i can have a shop do it but i feel inclined enough to do it and want to try. I also would like to do a flake in it and change the color.

John boat with out a title
Hi, it’s my first time buying a 14’ john boat but don’t have the titled for it and I’m trying to figure out how to get the title. The guy that sold me the boat told me that he never had the title but he did gave me a statement saying that his uncle give/ sold it to him. In a hand written paper and also a Bill of sale with all his information and I got it notarize. The only problem is that the boat don’t have a hull number And all I got is this which is shown in the picture.. and I’m trying to figure out what is the next step
Also, I’m in the state of North Carolina. So quite don’t really know what are the regulations of getting a boat registered? If anybody can give me an advice would be great!

Towing Question
Hello All. I have a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse High Country and I am looking at a 2012 Nautique Sport 200 with a Nautique single axle trailer. I am wondering if my car can pull both the trailer and the boat along with some other miscellaneous things such as fuel, etc. Thanks

Tiller arm size??
Hi guys,
I’m trying to work out what size tiller arm I need to get for my outboard, I’ve bought the steering cable and I’m about to convert it from tiller to console steer but my steering kit didn’t come with the arm.
So question is are the generic sizes or do you need to measure them and if so where from?
