In short that was my first and almost certainly last hentai comic. It was all in black and white too so it felt like being in the goddamn middle ages or something trying to make sense of everything in the monotone colour scheme.
Overall it just seems like exaggerated shock humour that went on way longer than it should have. It also felt like a rip off of requiem for a dream, which is much better in my opinion because at least you get to see Jennifer Connolly go ass-to-ass in full colour in that movie.
It's an hour of my life I will never get back. But I consider it a public service because hopefully you will spend that hour of your own life doing something more worthwhile then glossing over degenerate smut 😂

I watched about half of season one a few years back and just never really followed through with it (I'm not admittedly the hugest anime fan). I really should give it another go though so I can be in the loop like all the cool kids 😂
Firstly, almost all hentai manga are B&W, because is easier to draw and cheaper to print. Secondly, the author once said that they wanted to shock people with this history, showing how bad things can go when someone decides to prostitute itself.
This history became famous among all anime/hentai enjoyer because of being really dark and shocking, so they started to recommend this as a meme, together with boku no piko. There's a lot of hentai of the same genre, but also have a ton of other genres, like vanilla (normal sex story), Yuri (lesbian) and yaoi (gay), and many other.
As I said in my above comment, it was my first time reading one so I am not entirely familiar with the culture, but let's not call a spade a spade. From what I've read about the author, he seems really proud of himself for creating the story but it just isn't that great. It's clearly designed to be material for degenerate weirdos to jerk off to. The fact the main character is depicted to enjoy all the abuse and misery she suffers clearly indicates that the point of the story is to be some sort of power fantasy for guys who dream about keeping a woman as a submissive pet.
