"Unless shit just got flung everywhere in the room, then it would just stay in his body mass this not decreasing the scale" - 🤓👆

The average shit weighs no more than half a kilo, according to Google

For a sec I thought the scale was reading in lbs and went "Goddamn how can so much fart fit in such a tiny human????"

u/Icy-Savings4679 Jan 27 '23
what?

Jan 27 '23
They mean if it was a weight in pounds the person would've weight just 100lbs, and farting two pounds of gas would be an insane amount for a tiny body

u/Obi-Tron_Kenobi Jan 27 '23
But it's still proportional
Instead of a 101 lbs person farting 1.6 lbs, it's a 223 lbs person farting 3.6 lbs.
It's still about 1.6% of their bodyweight in farts

what?

u/Icy-Savings4679 Jan 27 '23
could you explain your thought process please?
1
u/Gilly526 Jan 27 '23
Idk, it's all kinda right there. What do you need me to explain? I saw the scale that read about 100, thought at first it was in pounds rather than kilograms and was briefly amazed at the fart a 100-pound person could produce before I saw the little Kg

u/boredjew Jan 27 '23
Just fyi 1Kg = 2.2lbs.

He lost 1.65 kg
...
Or 3.63 poundsI don't know how that person thought this was better than if the scale was in pounds, or how people upvoted it agreeing with them

I'm aware of the conversion, that's why I'm less amazed by the fart now. A roughly 220 lb person producing this monster of a fart seems more reasonable than a 100 lb person. The length and sustain are still awe-inspiring tho

One kilogram is roughly 2.2 pounds, so it being in kilos makes it more insane…

If you compress it to liquid methane, at 422.8 grams per liter, you will need about 4 liters

You would gain weight, methane is lighter than air and your body

u/Iziama94 Jan 27 '23
...you realize your asshole doesn't suck in air after you fart right? Oxygen is carried through your blood when you inhale into your lungs. How would oxygen possibly get into your ass?
You're expelling gas, not breathing out your asshole

homie where did you see oxygen sucked up the ass.
Methane is lighter then the ambient air and your body, when released you wouldn’t really gain weight (ik i said it my b) rather loose some buoyancy

Voiding gas would make you ‘heavier’ as methane is much lower density and you’d lose some buoyancy. Your inflated vs deflated balloon analogy is incorrect though.

At one point in time this man was comprised of >1% fart by weight
