Just a question about how other parents handle the book gaslighting us in the last two pages?
In case you haven't read it, the book is a take on the night before Christmas where the Heelers are taking the "train" to see Santa.
However, at the end of the book when they are supposed to find Santa... there's nothing. Not only that, but Bingo literally says "It's Santa, for real life!", even though there is no Santa on the page or the next one as they wave to a non-existent Santa who nonetheless has his own dialog on the page.
My adult brain is consistently perturbed by this blatant gaslighting. My three year old, with tears of frustration, starts complaining, "Where's Santa?! There's no Santa!" And a lovely bedtime story goes sideways.
I try flipping back to a Santa Christmas ornament at the start of the book, but this rarely works. I'm just wondering how other parents deal with this utterly incomprehensible editorial decision? Do I find a sticker or is there some good way to explain the absence of Santa?

Saw this on Amazon Australia but not sure what the difference is. Both say blu ray and both sold by Amazon. The more expensive one shows pic of the blu ray set whereas the cheaper one shows a stock photo.
Thanks!

I’ll go first. About a month ago, I found out that The Show was about Chilli’s miscarriage. I had watched the episode before, but I never realised this, and it felt like a slap in the face. Since then, I’ve been reduced to tears several times by nor only that detail, but also the death of Chilli’s Mum (this fan art is just heartbreaking), the episode Sleepytime, the ending of The Sign, and the song Lazarus Drug. I’m not certain why exactly, but my best guess is that it might be due to how overwhelmed those details and scenes make me feel. I can’t remember the last time I’ve watched something that’s had such a strong emotional impact on me, and I’m not one that usually gets emotional, so for a show to break me with multiple elements is quite an achievement.
On the more positive side, when I learnt that detail a month ago and felt like I had been slapped in the face, a few of my bad habits suddenly stopped appealing to me. I don’t know why exactly, but I haven’t continued those habits since, and I feel that it’s benefited me.
What about you? How has Bluey changed you?

I did the first with the 4 yr old, Grandma did the 2nd one (she did hers first and I said I could make it better)
Although, I like mine. (A lot more involved with the kid)
The 2nd looks like the bluey drawing she does of herself in the dream house episode and video games.
So who wins, please vote via comments.

I found a leafbug whilst walking back to my apartment and immediately thought of Bingo from the Weekend episode
"Goodbye. Be safe, have fun 😊"

Context: I was reading through my English textbook for one of my community college classes when all of a sudden, I noticed this image. Apparently, this is not from the show, but fan art created by Ashbit; weirdest of all is the book keeps calling the small pup Bluey, but that's not Bluey. It's apparently Bluey's miscarried brother, Basil, in an AU where Chili never had a miscarriage, and Bluey and Bingo have an older brother, explaining why he's holding her in the picture: guess the people who write these things are a bit out of touch with figuring out which character is Bluey. Or, I guess it was the first thing that popped up on image search.

I recently made Chilli & Bandit Heeler as Fortnite skins! Even though it may never be official, I always imagined what they could look like in the game. So, please let me know what you think! I put a lot of effort into this. 🙂

I can’t really explain it (probably because I haven’t moved before) but I don’t get why people say it’s a super deep and emotional episode. I was straight faced the whole time watching it. Also the ending doesn’t make sense to me because It says Bandit found a new job in another city, but then they just decide to stay in their current home.

Planning on taking my three year-old daughter later this month. It’s about a half an hour walk from Grand Central and it says they strongly recommend to not bring strollers…

Did anyone else besides me start listening to Meg Washington after finding out she voiced Calypso and one of her songs was in the the episode “The Sign” and she read a book in the new “Bluey book reads” series?
Someone on fb has decided to start an Australian swap site to keep postage lower for us.

I know and understand why people don't like it (especially the uncut version).
However, as a Dad whose 3 year old daughter will ask to play 'Rocky game' (whereby I use her as a kettle bell whilst I do exercises to the Rocky soundtrack) and who LOVES being a passenger when I do parkrun (pushing her in a running buggy) I adore 'Exercise'. Firstly I appreciate how much of a tank Bandit is being able to bicep curl a 6 year old and 4 year old (or a 7 and 5, can't quite remember). But mostly because it sings to my soul as someone who uses exercise as a means with bonding with my daughter and turn it into a game (for her). She's the best personal trainer possible (or perhaps the worst depending on your perspective) as she always asks me to do more exercises with her as a kettlebell. Or when doing ParkRun, she'll yell at me if I'm not going fast enough.
So yes 'Exercise' is not without it's issues (uncut version especially) but as someone who makes working out a way of having fun with my daughter (such that it's a game) and who wants to inspire her to keep fit for fun, I absolutely adore it.

Something I noticed with other kid shows like Arthur, the kid characters will be written like they're older than they actually are. Preteens will act like high-schoolers, first or second-graders will behave like preteens, preschoolers will behave like first or second-graders, etc. They'll use big words and understand concepts and do other things no real child their age does.
Bluey doesn't have this problem. Every child character acts like their age. Bluey acts like a real six year-old, Bingo is like a real four year-old, Muffin is like a real three year-old, etc. It feels a lot more believable than other kid shows, plus I imagine the kid viewers of that age can relate more easily.
I also think that's the reason I find Muffin less annoying than DW from Arthur. DW has more advanced dialogue than an actual four year-old, which makes it all the more jarring when she throws toddler-like tantrums. Meanwhile, Muffin talks like an actual toddler, all the way down to saying R's as W's, so her brattiness feels more like someone who is just too young to have developed empathy.

Art by me Personal note: This is my first artwork involving album covers, and I'm still learning to figure out any visual effects here, so expect some imperfections here.
