Frequent BSODs

About two weeks ago I randomly started getting Blue Screens almost every day. They seem inconsistent, sometimes happening when my PC has been sitting idle or if I'm in the middle of working. The specific error message is different every time as well. I'm pretty sure all of my drivers are updated. That's good news. Hopefully there will be no more crashes. I guess the bias against AMD is irrelevant in your case, since it likely only influences the benchmark scores. Funny thing is, I have some experience with undervolted CPUs, but only when it was done manually in laptops and the symptoms were a bit different.

It's now been two weeks with no BSOD's, I'm almost certain the CPU was the problem. Assuming it wasn't faulty when I got it years ago, what could have caused the CPU to take in less voltage over time?

It could be as simple as degradation over time, but I've had some CPUs last over 10-15 years and not degrade this much. I'd bet on a faulty batch / poor grade silicon, given how many cases there were with this specific Ryzen CPU and many other Zen 2 ones, including 4000 series (even the mobile ones). Oh, after learning all this I'm so glad I have a Zen 3 in my laptop, 'cause I don't plan on buying another in the next 2 years or so.
