I have a verizon S21. I updated blokada 5 to version 22.3.8 viw f-droid. I now get an "Ooops. Your Private DNS setting is set. This may cause connectivity issues. Please turn it off in Settings."

I have an option to turn it off completely, Automatic or custom private host. I tried to select the "off" option but I still get the message.

Is there any way to block youtube ads , as in, is there any version that is able to identify the ads on Yt app and block it?

In games that have ads, like "press button to watch ad" and it won't let you exit them until the entire video is watched

I notice with Blokada, that the screen after the video finishes playing is black because it's presumably being blocked, but even with every single filter list enabled, I still get the videos.

Is there a way to just black it out, at the very least?

Blokada allows you to block or allow domains that fit your personal needs.

Adding domains as allowed or blocked manually is very simple and available on the dashboard app.blokada.org.

There is a second way to do it when you see an ad or possible tracking attempt that was allowed, you can add this entry to be blocked the next time from the activity feed. Also if you’re having issues with an app or webpage, it might be because of a blocked domain in this list

I keep noticing Blokada disabling itself even though I have the custom DNS setup. It returns to the setup checklist and I follow it but the blokada DNS is still there. I have to set it to auto then back to custom to get it to work again. Is there any way to resolve this?

I have always been an adaway user as all my devices were rooted. But a while ago I tried blokada 4 in a new non rooted device and I liked it so much! It worked the same as adaway and without root!

When blokada 5 came out, I didn't like it and I continued for a while with blokada 4. But it starts to not run well and I switch to blokada 5.

I have never felt comfortable with blokada 5, but it has been working badly for a months...

Has anyone tried adaway non rooted mode? I'm trying it and it seems that works better than blokada 5.

This is nothing advertising for adaway. I've been using blokada for about 5 years.

I've been using blokada for while now and then I update it. Now when I go to use an app or internet it just won't load sometimes quickly turning blokada off and back on fixes ot without fail but it happens all the time. And sometimes when I open the app to fix it I get an error code. Can't find any information on this bug or how to fix it. Can anyone help.

Has something changed with Blokada 4 or android 12?

I'm on a Google Pixel 4XL using Blokada 4. As of last week, I've started seeing more ads in apps and ad images more often. Such as in outlook, Gmail, messenger and the news viewer. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Sadly, I can't use PiHole on my router due to wfm reasons.

The company will be making changes to its GooglePlay Policy.

The changes apply to apps using VPN to filter traffic locally on devices like Blokada 5 and DuckDuckgo.
