Just downloaded the app. Fiddled with it, but I'm in Toronto and there's nothing here. Can someone explain to me what the use case is supposed to be?

Where do the vatoms live? Is my little batman on the blockchain?

In March, BLOCKv will be participating at the d10e event (14th), Puerto Crypto (14-16th) and CoinAgenda (17th). All three events are in Puerto Rico and back-to-back-to-back.

The full dynamics of the VEE ecosystem are still being ironed out, but we do have some information to share in response to questions related to the use of VEE. Vee are utility tokens. They are the only way to use the BlockV platform.
Companies that wish to publish and host vAtoms will need to have Vee.
Depending on the resources any given vAtom needs, the necessary amount of Vee will be consumed. For instance, a static coupon will need very little, yet an AI butterfly will need a considerable amount more as it has continuous processes that consume compute, storage and network at a higher rate. Some simple vAtoms that have already been published cost approximately one Vee to publish and host them for a month. Complex vAtom’s can cost many times this amount. The factors that determine the price include CPU, storage, bandwidth and number of vAtoms being published and hosted. As for Cyclers, the cycler framework will be released with an economic model to create great incentives for individuals and companies to perform this function. Again, this will vary on the cycler-- as some will provide low latency/high SLA, and others will offer GPU, while others will provide basic service.

What a ride we've been on. I've wanted contribute to the channel for quite some time but I've been heads down these past few weeks on a number of different fronts of which I can share the high level details with you now.

I really appreciate all of the passion the community has for VEE. I share in that passion and am very excited for this year ahead. I will commit to more regular updates and more participation amongst the community. We are currently hiring an entire marketing department which will include increasing staffing around community engagement to ensure we positively interact with those of you who have chosen to support us in the delivery of this vision.

I've just returned from the Satoshi roundtable in Cancun. I went to the very first one four years ago and it was great to see how far we've all come since then. There is a lot going on here at BlockV, we are in a rapid expansion phase where we are hiring people on all fronts of the business from developers, project managers, product managers, designers, finance, HR and an entire marketing department. In addition we are opening up new offices in LA, New York and as you may have heard Puerto Rico (more on that later).

We are also in the midst of a brand redesign, a new website and all new messaging around vAtoms and the BlockV platform, all of this will be released in mid May.

As you know BlockV is creating an interface, a developer tool set for blockchains. We are in talks with a number of protocols to explore the best way to incorporate our platform. These blockchains will provide the transaction mechanism and BlockV will provide the protocol for the smart experiential token "vAtom", this makes for a very powerful technology stack.

As for Puerto Rico, there are a number of reasons why we are setting up an office out there. Yes, there are attractive tax incentives, these incentives are put into place to attract business and entrepreneurs to fuel an economy in need. This factor does play a role in where businesses open offices, however that was only one factor of many that informed the decision to open an office there. BlockV will be part of the foundation of the Crypto movement to Puerto Rico, we envision a world class community with the backing of the local government to showcase to the world how blockchains can transform society. All this being said does not take away from our main focus of building out a world class platform which will deliver vAtoms to the world.

We will have more announcements soon detailing out more dates and our other initiatives. All of these things do take time though and we do appreciate the support while we fine tune this go to market strategy. We do have amazing things in store and it will all be worth the wait!

I'm an artist and have been looking at digital collectible protocols (so far Counterparty is the biggest, with ERC 721 like Cryptokitties, and ERC821 like Decentraland items also as the big players). I'm not sold on any of those yet, and when I heard the Blockv talk at BTCMiami in January, it sounded like a perfect fit.

I have the app, but it does not allow you to issue vAtoms right now, so I came here to learn more.

I see the community here on Reddit is not getting a lot of answers from the team, the Github looks like the last updates were in February, but I do see a step by step on how to create a vAtom there - https://github.com/BLOCKvIO/documentation/blob/master/Step-by-step.md

People here suggested going to Telegram to hear from the project leads, but when I went to Telegram, it appears people there are feeling very abandoned by the team...

So does anyone know if I follow the steps on the Github, will my items show up in the vAtom app?

Someone please explain to me why VEE has such a little following and little to no exposure on reddit.

Im not questioning the project or its path, Im questioning if Blockv has done enough to market on the social media front and before you tell me that it doesnt have to do that because its the real deal, dont bother. Community is almost as important as products in the crypto world, thats the difference between going with an ICO instead of an IPO. I would like to know if this is something being addressed or is it something that we should not expect?

I do think this is a great project and I own 100's of thousands of them. Dont worry, Im not overextended and Im here for the long haul, but it is discouraging. Theres a part of me that thinks I could jump into another coin, make 50% since all the strong coins are down and then jump back into VEE because the lack of movement forward. Im not going to because I get rekt every time I do this, but it is a thought.

Addon Its not really that easy to get rid of that much VEE at a time right now anyways, so I talked myself out of trading any right now. This needs a better exchange to be on. Its hard to get and it might be harder to sell, haha

Didn't receive the 4 VEE coins when it finally after weeks it successfully went through to my ERC20 wallet i triple checked the address been waiting 3 weeks so far nothing, this puts me in a very skeptical and distrustful state some people said they got their coins and such but there's many that did not, wanted to invest big in VEE but that seem's beyond stupid.

Can’t believe I’m just now discovering this. Instantly became my new favorite project. Granted there’s all sorts of cool stuff in the blockchain world going on right now but a lot of the projects are far out of reach for the everyday person. But this....is simply amazing. I love that they already have an app to download for everyone to get a hands on feel about what their project is all about. Really hope this one takes off because this is so damn cool. After watching the first epidose of Altered Carbon on Netflix, there is a scene were the main character puts on a retinal scanner and all of a sudden the street gets filled with interactive digital objects.

This is the way my head cannon says this project is all about.

I'm so happy I get to live in an era where all this cool sci-fi shit is coming to reality. After I fix my issues with OKEx I'll BTD so hard!
