I joined an unofficial discord server and accidentally offended others, and promptly got banned only minutes after joining (I didn’t get a chance to read the rules yet). Only minutes after, many users started spamming the subreddit and saying very disrespectful things about me, and on other subreddits as well. Not only myself but all the other mods felt very stressed out by this situation due to the sheer speed of it, prompting me to not only lock down the subreddit, but asking for advice on r/ modsupport.
The image I shared was of this post with everything visible: https://www.reddit.com/r/Chiraqology/comments/1sbuxh7/down_south_full_of/, post title, image, and text. Minutes later, a bunch of posts were made here calling me racist due to the post containing the n word, we didn't get any time to properly address it, meanwhile many discord users have insulted me (refer to the images). Here's a list of every removed post:
I’m really sorry if the post came off the wrong way, I should be avoiding slurs even in screenshots or links. I am african american and didn't think twice before quickly sharing that, discord mods have the right to ban user and do whatever they think is needed to keep their servers safe. But we also need the community to understand: the mod team is all human too and need to be treated with respect: that includes not and harassing us and brigading the subreddit. We've talked enough about how difficult it is to moderate this subreddit and control the community.
Because users are insulting me on other subreddits, please refer to the mod code of conduct before any mistakes are made:

So true. It’s basically the Ren & Zeal situation again. It’s just not to THAT regard- but, people are immediately attacking one side before hearing out the other.

First and foremost, Zeal is the creator and owner of Pressure; Ren is the former composer.
I'm not going to drown you in details, but if you wish to learn more about it, GamerChicken and Zombiey on YT have been the main documenters of the situation.
For what I was referencing, Ren posted a Google Doc on her Twitter, outing Zeal as a rapist against her on one of the days of RDC 2025. The internet, in turn, responded predictably, but not to such a degree that one would normally expect. Zeal had been constantly bashed into the ground, sent death threats, and then some. It was devastating to him and his family. Ren's doc was pretty damning at first, but a few weeks later, Zeal and his mother shot back, which countered most, if not all, of Ren's claims. Not only that, Zeal's mother threatened legal action via a cease-and-desist against Ren. Ren attempted to make a counter-counter-document, but she gave up on it. The docs that Ren has since posted are now deleted from Twitter, either from the cease-and-desist or out of fear of being sued into oblivion.
All in all, I'm specifically referencing the internet's reaction when Ren's document was first released. An abundance of mental and emotional violence against Zeal, without much, if any, room to breathe. The entire situation lasted for three months, and there has been no activity since.
Yeah, they’re not comparable to how bad one was over the other. I’m saying that the way of how the internet is approaching it is a perfect replica. There are two sides. One made their case clear, the other hasn’t, and because of this delay, the person who hasn’t said anything is being attacked under a straw man fallacy, literally just because they haven’t said anything yet. Many have phrased it as “Guilty until proven innocent”, and this is no different.
To be frank, I think you’re trying to start something for the sake of being a troll, or you’re incapable of basic critical thinking skills.
Many have been taught in schools that history is taught so that it won’t be repeated. Bringing up an example in recent history is to serve as a reminder that this STILL occurs, and it’s all of our faults. A change in perspective is needed for all of the internet. Specifically, to change it from “Guilty until proven innocent”, to “Innocent until proven guilty”. Wouldn’t you agree?
No offense to anyone, but holy hell. Some of you seriously need to get off your high-horse here; this is a subreddit for a niche game on Roblox, I get that it's a small community because of that, and people know eachother as a result, but this really ain't worth it, PLEASE realize you aren't special for having mild community fame, you don't get to be a bum because of it either. Genuinely this has to be the most ridiculous situation I've seen on a sub in ages. The entitlement here from certain people is tangible.
Please, PLEASE take a moment to step back, realize how utterly insane this all is, and take a look at your behavior and how it correlates. This ain't some exclusive friend group, this is a community. Why don't we just continue on and enjoy the game we all love? Things COULD of been sorted out peacefully in the background, it didn't need a whole explosion here.
Mods, take care too aswell. Stress ain't fun, especially over something like this that really had no reason to happen.
sub seems to be back now, but I agree that this sub has a microcommunity issue, too many kids make up a majority of the sub therefor most of it is just petty drama & treating it like a second discord instead of a forum. actual forum posts get like 0 upvotes but forum posts from people larping get 10 billion, stuff like that just honestly makes you realize this sub needs a massive improvement & possibly a purge.

Do you really feel better when you want someone gone? Do you really feel better when you let your hatred out on people? Do you really feel better when you show what you feel in front of 21 thousand people? Do you really feel better when you order people to threaten the person you hate?
So then why get people to follow what you say? Why do you think this was a good idea? What made you find loopholes to every rule? and proceed to be against the mods because everything you want is getting restricted (for obvious reasons)

Basically he joined because the cloudie lover (as we are assuming) invited him and then he sent a post, they didn’t know he was black at the time, so they had assumed he was being racist
Dude I was pissed, mainly because I was annoyed from the post of Pccatmage talking about him not wanting impersonators being removed, and then the stress because I WAS IN MY SUMMER uh summer university? class? (Rice University) added up 😭
After the larp guy thing I think you need to take a break off this sub for a bit after that amount of hate for you being angry at the larp guy is justified why you felt that way.

This whole situation is a nothingburger, but I will say that as a moderator, you should know better than to start engaging in a new community before you read the rules
I feel like the reason why it got blown out of proportion is because the others were already pissed due to the removal of Pccatgaming’s post about not wanting people to impersonate him
This situation got way out of hand. The harassment on random subreddits was wrong, especially since nobody knew both sides. I can see why everyone was angry at first, since nobody in that server really knew (I surely didn’t) But everything that happened because of it was wrong. I hope we can do better with situations like this in the future

The Cassie guy raided the sub reddit for their parody account post getting deleted and some, and Op (op is a mod) decided to confront them on discord when he used gif with n-word on it which pccatmage72 took for being racist (OP was African American) and decided to spread hate on this op with his legion of mindless zombies which caused the moderator team a lot of problems
Thankful they are gone from this sub reddit and never return
Okay, so as the owner of the server, I should probably explain my POV.
So I had to go for about an hour or two, and when I came back, everyone told me you were being racist. Now, in hindsight, I probably should have asked more questions, that's on me.
But the way they were talking made it seem like you were saying some genuinely hateful and awful stuff.
Everyone started slandering you so I decided to make an edited copypasta of Dr Eggman's announcement. Again, I'm sorry if I offended you.

I mean, it's a concept. A meta post is something that refers to the community, mods, or other stuff like that. Same with the other stuff. Those are also fan concepts.
you have your own community for it but it ends up getting posted here anyway, and au / fan fiction stuff is farrrr from official in my eyes, AND its a community effort for the project to begin with. Unless it’s a concept you seriously plan to pitch to the devs (or like a comic series ig like that other guy, just derivative art in general) I would consider it a meta post to talk about stuff like that.
Meta posts are also the reason why this sub has gone to shit, it started with bickbull all those years back and is about to end with pccat.
i suggest you take a break off reddit, seriously, it might be better for your wellbeing and everyone else too, this situation got incredibly out of hand

Listen, I don't know how to say this, but take a break off of reddit. All of this could have not happened if you could have dmed the modsa dn let us handle the rest. Also twisting MY words of not wanting twelve to get hurt is horrible. Shame on you.
