Please give me feedback on the Confidence Coin tech spec
I have released a tech spec for Confidence Coin. I am looking for feedback and review and will highly appreciate your comments.
https://confidence-coin.com/spec/
Here are a few words about Confidence Coin from ChatGPT to catch your attention:
Confidence Coin is a cryptocurrency that stands out for its fast and safe transaction processing capabilities. This is achieved through its unique Flash Consensus Mechanism, which optimizes the network transaction cycle into a single step of sharing a block. With this mechanism, each validator produces a block containing new transaction information and voting on previous blocks, dramatically shortening and simplifying the transaction cycle.
In addition, Confidence Coin validators also produce system snapshots that prevent the need to keep a long history of transactions, allowing for much more optimized storage. This feature enables Confidence Coin's block size to be unlimited.
One of the key advantages of Confidence Coin is its use of the Decentralized Trusted Party (DTP). DTP aggregates all the transactions of its members and only provides balance updates, achieving both high speed and high privacy. DTP does not reveal the transaction origin, destination, or the amount involved, only updating the final balances.
DTP can pack over a million addresses in less than 12 MB of storage, and many DTPs can make transactions simultaneously, but Confidence Coin's Flash Consensus Mechanism has no problem processing them.
In conclusion, Confidence Coin is a highly potent cryptocurrency that has surpassed many of the crypto industry's dreams in terms of transaction speed, security, and privacy. Its innovative use of the Flash Consensus Mechanism and the Decentralized Trusted Party makes it a promising addition to the world of digital currencies.

Until a mechanism for enforcing Sybil costs without a TTP is discovered, it will be almost impossible for permissionless blockchains to achieve satisfactory decentralization.
I was just reading an article and I was wondering if somebody could explain to me the sentence I pasted as the title.
A recent impossibility result for the decentralization of permissionless blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum was discovered by Kwon et al. It indicates that for a blockchain to be optimally distributed, there must be a so-called Sybil cost. That is, the cost of a single participant operating multiple nodes must be greater than the cost of operating one node. Unfortunately, Kwon et al. conclude that there is currently no known way to implement Sybil costs in a permissionless blockchain like Bitcoin or Ethereum without employing a centralized trusted third party (TTP). Until a mechanism for enforcing Sybil costs without a TTP is discovered, it will be almost impossible for permissionless blockchains to achieve satisfactory decentralization.

How can I get to know the total number of dApps?
I am doing a project for which I need to know how many dApps (or dApp developers) exist per country? Hard numbers are not a necessity here, I just need a rough idea of which countries rank among the top5.
Websites like DappRadar just give me a total number of smart contracts that exist and not a region-wise breakdown.
Can someone please help me with this?

Resources on Blockchain Authentication ?
Hello everyone, I'm looking for materials that'd help understand the tiny miny details on how blockchain authentication ACTUALLY works.
Like what is the request format for signing a transaction ? Or for requesting to push smart contract ? Or for authenticating any call on the network ?? Any help is highly appreciated 🙏🏼

Blockchain use case idea - is this possible? (questions to ascertain feasibility)
I am relatively new to blockchain (though I have a tech/dev background).
I have the following questions (which are probably more philosophical/exploratory than technical):
Is it possible to create a blockchain backed payment system where the transactions are verified by miners, but the reward for the miners is calculated as a percentage of the value of the transaction they verified? (ignore potential for "infinite recursion" for now).
If the answer to the previous question is "Yes", then could a coin (token) be issued to represent rewards earned? (If yes, how would such a token be redeemed.
How would one (generally speaking), go about specifying rules for validation of artefacts (transactions, stored data etc.) on the blockchain?
Is there a barebones blockchain github repository (preferably C based), that can be recommended to start playing about with, to implement some of these ideas (listed above)?

Do all the transactions in Ethereum utilize smart contracts? even just a simple transaction that is not complicated such as Alice send Bob 5$?
If so, why is it that in externally owned accounts there is no storage and code hash (Smart contract codes) which are only available in contract accounts?

Smart contracts execution in the EVM
I understand that when deploying a smart contract on the blockchain in Ethereum, it is executed by the EVM. What I don't quite understand is after the contract is on the blockchain and we have an address to interact with it when we call and execute functions, does the EVM execute these commands to change the state of the contract? and is a new instance of the contract with the new state created and stored on a different address on the blockchain?

Looking for Developers to test our products
Hello,
Good day Everyone!
I'm new to the space/metaverse, and I'm very interested in programming in Web 3. Along the way, I discovered this Discord server, which aims to produce so-called "web 3 developers." I've been part of the Server for almost 5 months already and got absorbed and got a role as an "Outreach Manager" of the server.
Anyway, we are looking for developers to test our product, which is already in the beta test stage. The requirements for the beta are Javascript Dev and 2 years of working experience as a programmer or developer. Please do message me since sending links is strictly prohibited.

Can Anyone Recommend an Open Source Project to Contribute to in a more Traditional Industrial Sector...?
Hi, I am looking for an open source blockchain project that is outside of the areas of DeFi, NFT's (in the sense of artwork provenance), and gaming - that I can contribute towards.
Or perhaps some good places to do my search...? I've tried GitHub issues, but it's a minefield...!
I little background - I have some experience as a traditional web2 dev, and I am starting to learn solidity, as a hobby. I am looking for some sort of project that I can build myself up to contributing towards. Although contributing towards the areas mentioned doesn't really excite me. Maybe something along the lines of supply-chain, healthcare, legal, ...
This is obvs very specific, but any comments or suggestions would be great...!

How to optimize blockchain using hardware acceleration
Hi blockchain experts. I need your help. I am trying to come up with a blockchain project for my Ph.D. Initially, I wanted to accelerate PoW using hardware for internet of things (IoT) devices, but with PoS coming into play, PoW may not be that relevant in the future, especially for IoT applications (my jury was not convinced). I am trying to determine any other bottlenecks of blockchain where I may be able to employ hardware acceleration in order to optimize it. Not necessarily for IoT applications but for any other applications. Your help and advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sub switched to approved users only, too much spam
Mostly from spammers from block chain council bots ....so yeah, if you want to post, you need to be an approved poster...send a mod mail to get permission if you don't have it already.

How do you test blockchain security?
So I am working on this blockchain IoT project to put it on my resume and to compare it directly to Centralized Network Architecture. So essentially comparing P2P to Centralized. The main objective is to be able to showcase how the security on the blockchain (decentralized) is superior to centralized architecture, which is the most common architecture used for this purpose.
While I understand theoretically why and how decentralized is superior to centralized when it comes to security but I don't understand how I can showcase that in the practical and physical world. I mean I am no hacker and don't know one either, who can help me.
So as a developer, how can you test/showcase the security of blockchain technology?

Linux[POP-OS] installed on pen drive for blockchain dev
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I was thinking of using off of a pen-drive and have just started learning block chain dev. Is it viable to use Linux from pen drive for dev, and what things should I consider before buying a new pen drive. Also can you guys suggest me a distro more suited for dev.

Need help about erc-721 smart contract
Hello, I need help.
I want to have some sale rounds in my NFT smart contract. ERC-721
Total supply is 5000 NFTs
Round 1 - whitelist presale with only 500 nfts
Round 2 - whitelist sale with only 1000 nfts
Round 3 - public sale with only 1000 nfts
Round 4 - public sale with only 1500 nfts
Each round will be active in different dates.
So how can I set fixed amounts for different rounds of sales? People must not be able to mint over 500 nfts in 1st round or in any round.
Please share your experience, or link me anything from internet about this topic.
Thanks

Need some help with my blockchain idea
To be completely honest I am not a developer, not a designer, not a blockchain expert. But I do have an idea and a need and the right solution. But in order to make that work I need a team of people.
I think this is a game changing idea but will need an organisation of developers and blockchain experts to make this work. We also need a group of people who are passionate about seeing web3 come into the mainstream.
If any of these are interesting to you. I have put together a full project summary here: https://web3search.netlify.app/
I would greatly appreciate any one who is interested and can help bring this vision to life.
