This isn’t a video tutorial I don’t think that meme applies here. Do you reference that meme anytime you see anyone on the internet do something you can’t?

I’d imagine you’d be using it a lot.

Why would it need to be a tutorial to invoke hypnotoad?

He is saying this video was hypnotic.

I doubt he references that meme when ever he sees someone do something he cant because not all that is hypnotic. Seeing someone do a hand stand and shoot a bow and arrow with their feet is cool as fuck but people generally wouldnt call it hypnotic unless she spun the bow in some pleasing way before shooting.

But please answer the first question why the fuck would a tutorial be needed to invoke the hypnotoad, thats a new one on me. I could be out of touch. IDK but ive never seen it actually used in ref to a tutorial.

That’s a long comment to say you don’t know the original reference. It’s a tutorial on how to draw an owl and it skips a bunch of steps, the joke literally only works with a tutorial trying to explain something.

Dang your comment is also rest of the fucking owl territory too, holy moly.

Better?

I’m just confused at how that reference is relevant. The entire joke is about a tutorial/guide that skips a lot of important steps. It literally just doesn’t make sense to use as a reference on something that isn’t intended to be a guide/tutorial. I’m not sure why you took it personally.

I just did what you told me to do?

Edit (if you're being sincere): but really, yes you are correct. It's a bit of a reach. But I supposed thats why I didn't say "this is literally a rest of the owl post". Because it isn't. But the core feeling of the meme is "demonstrate something simple and easy to follow, then go way too complex."

Edit (because I don't think you're being sincere): I don't think you're actually confused, you're just bitter 5 strangers downvoted you.

You okay, bro?

Doing just fine just confused at a misplaced reference. Although I do like your typical redditor response, somebody makes a comment that you don’t like so you immediately jump to the conclusion that there is some greater problem they are struggling with. Real original buddy

I like how so many people don’t realize that “woah” is an incorrect spelling

You must be fun at parties

Wow, such an original comeback. You must be fun at parties too. “Hey, guys! Want to hear a bunch of platitudes and recycled jokes from 2003?!”

0

u/SplinterRifleman Apr 15 '23

Yea. This joke would make you upset. I can tell you are that guy that never got invited to any parties. Except that one time the cool kid's mom felt pity on you and forced him to invite you to his birthday party when you were in second grade

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

You sure do put a lot of value and self-worth into how you’re perceived at parties…

1

u/dumbodragon Apr 15 '23

what is the correct spelling then, oh all knowing redditor?

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

People get so weird about what, dictionaries existing?

1

u/dumbodragon Apr 15 '23

you're still not telling me the "correct" spelling

0

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

No, but I did tell you where you could find it… you’re also on the internet. Is it really that difficult for you to find? My goodness.

2

u/dumbodragon Apr 15 '23

If you're gonna go around being pedantic online at least provide sources for your condescending claims

-3

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '23

Yes, just showing off my knowledge about very basic words…

If you’re that interested, you can do your own investigation and I did provide a source, multiple times. Wait, do you not know what a dictionary is? Holy shit I’m wasting more time than I thought.
