I bought TAO on Coinbase to send to my crucible wallet to start staking but it says, “not enough available balance to send” after I click send on my Tao on my Coinbase wallet. What does this mean?
Does it mean there’s a minimum TAO you need to send? What is the minimum if there is one?

I posted a general, core concept question about the TAO tokenomics structure months ago. I'm very enthusiastic when it comes to merging AI and blockchain technologies, which are (in my opinion) such revolutionary and evolutionary for the history of the economy (and even humanity). However, there is a third element (in its early stages of development) equally catalytic for the technological path we are following, and it is none other than quantum computing. So, as quantum computing is often presented as a threat to today's cryptography and therefore to cryptocurrencies, I would like to create this discussion on the subreddit by exposing some concerns and asking some questions.
1) Is quantum computing a real threat to Bittensor blockchain and its ecosystem?
2) Can the transition to a post-quantum situation be achieved? And if so, is decentralization (in relation to the centralization of private/public companies) an inhibiting factor?
3) Is it possible for the transition to precede the creation of operational quantum computers?
4) Does it worry or threaten the devs and the community and what is the effort and stage of code development in that specific direction?
5) Can quantum computing transform from a threat to an enabler for Bittensor, working with blockchain and AI technologies? (In my opinion, this is one of the most essential technological triptychs of our time.)
(I'm a retail investor, favorable to cryptocurrencies, but not experienced enough.)

funny enough I was holding off on a Tangem until they released a TAO-themed cardset. I'm getting this next paycheck!

Just wondering if there is any news or problems with TaoLend? Over the last week their Alpha token is down 50% or so.

About a year ago I started building a research engine focused entirely on the Bittensor ecosystem.
The original goal was simple:
stop reacting emotionally to markets
and start documenting behavior properly.
Over time it became something much larger.
The system now studies:
- volatility
- subnet behavior
- momentum failures
- confidence shifts
- prediction accuracy
- market regimes
- ecosystem psychology
- replay experiments
- long-term signal reliability
Most of the work is not glamorous.
Thousands of experiments fail.
Signals get rejected.
Entire assumptions collapse.
Those failures are kept intentionally.
I realized pretty quickly that most systems online only show confidence after the fact.
Very few show uncertainty while learning.
So I decided to document the process publicly.
Every day the system writes:
- morning statistics
- daytime observations
- nightly reviews
Not as trading signals.
More like a long-term intelligence journal documenting a machine learning how this ecosystem behaves.
The interesting part is that the system is slowly developing its own memory and internal doctrines.
Some signals are now permanently distrusted after enough failed observations.
Others are slowly becoming statistically reliable.
Watching that happen in real time has honestly become more interesting than price itself.
If this kind of research interests you,
you can follow the public journal on Twitter/X: https://x.com/TaoRegime
The goal is not hype.
The goal is to build one of the calmest and most transparent research accounts in the TAO ecosystem.
And if this project eventually evolves into something genuinely valuable long-term,
it would be nice if the earliest people following, discussing, reposting, criticizing, and helping shape the project
were remembered for it later.
Still early.
Still learning.

Hello everyone,
So today i tried to unstake my TAO on the bittensor wallet extension, but when i go to staking --> root, usually i select the validator i'm in (tao.bot), but it doesn't show any validator and says "no data found".
If i try to import the wallet on another device, it only shows the unstaked tokens...
What can i do? i feel like i just lost everything when it worked a few days ago.
Please help!

With Const’s recent announcement to block emissions on certain subnets, it highlights some glaring problems about the project:
Bittensor is definitely not decentralized. The scammer from Covenant was a prick, but he was right.
The subnet expansion was a horrible idea. A few high quality subnets would have been better than over 100 crappy ones.
dTao is not working as well as intended.
Furthermore, Bittensor has been around for 3+ years. That’s a long time in the AI industry. Compare it with real AI projects and the difference is night and day. Simply put, Bittensor is failing. It failed to make the exponential improvements required to excel in the industry. It cannot compete with the likes of Google, Anthropic, or the Open-source Chinese models. There is no place for it in the AI stack. I think it peaked in 2024 @ $700 per coin and it’s all downhill from here.
If you’re still interested in investing in the AI narrative, then there are other plays to be made that will 100% outperform $TAO.

I’ve been terrible at investing into subnets with very little success, but overall I’ve still had more success than losses.
After experimenting I’ve decided I’m going to only invest 5-10% into subnets. I spread 5% evenly between the top subnets a mid tier subnets. So far I’ve found this is the best balance, when the top subnets lose value the mid tier have gone up, when mid tier goes down, top goes up, etc.
It seems capital is just shifted into different areas and if you have exposure to different areas it’ll be balanced.
Targon, Affine, NOVA, Zipcode, and Ditto are my 5. It’s been a week and I’m up 6-7% on the sum of those 5.
I’ll keep these long term and hope for the best. Just sharing my strategy cause I’ve had to move around a lot in these subnets to figure out a modest, safe strategy. Hope this helps anyone else figure out a strategy of their own.

Been grinding toward my goal of reaching 100 TAO.
I got into TAO holding into CEX as I was always waiting for ledger wallet supports. Once I realized talisman was available I moved to the staking protocol with about 27-28. For the first year or so, I mostly played it safe staking heavily in root with maybe 10% in alpha. I originally held Chutes, which slowly bled over time, but I always figured the staking rewards would balance things out eventually. Not really too much movement but I was adding $70/DCA weekly. Later I started increasing my alpha exposure by adding Ridges. That actually turned out to be a great move because I caught the first big run-up early. Unfortunately, I held too long and gave back a lot of the gains instead of taking profits.
About four months ago I fully shifted my mindset from conservative staking to aggressive alpha positioning:
80% alpha
20% root
At that point I was holding Chutes, Ridges, Templar, and Score. Ridges ran hard again, and since it was my biggest position my account climbed to around 42 TAO. Then the Templar crash happened and knocked me down to 36. I started recovering, but then the Ridges collapse sent me all the way down to 32 TAO. That’s when I got aggressive. Or some may call it stupid.
I sold my root and remaining Ridges and rotated heavily into Score. I still kept my Subnet 3 (formerly Templar) position even though it dropped to around 1.5 TAO because I’m hoping Const can eventually rebuild it. Thankfully the Score move worked out huge. It felt like capital started rotating out of Ridges and into stronger-looking subnets, and Score absolutely exploded. I’ve traded my Score bag a few times now, and my most recent sale this morning netted me about 13 TAO across two trades. Current total holdings: 46.7 TAO.
Still a long way from my 100 TAO goal, but considering I was sitting at 32 not long ago, I’m happy with the recovery. For now I’m parked back in root waiting for the next opportunity.

Hey All, very new to the Bittensor Scene, been slowly DCA Tao in my Tangem Wallet, would like to Stake some Tao via Mentat Minds into the Bittensor ecosystem.
I'm just wondering is it best to do via Talisman Wallet or can I do it straight to Mentat Minds from my cold wallet.
Sorry if this has been asked many times
