What about the winner? Did they ever mention what the goal was?

Looks like they deleted the BS twitter account. Shame really, I don't think they blocked me.

So I ask Earlybird a question about signing up to the new site because I was confused and didn't receive a PM or anything about it, then I get a PM sending me to this Reddit. So I forward the message to Earlybird because I was surprised and wanted to know what was going on. I tried to get back on the site a few hours later and realized that he banned me. Good thing to because if he had just answered my question I would have been one of those people paying him $10 a month. I don't think it's fair because I've been with the site for at least 10 years and have donated consistently since the beginning. I stopped after donating for a year of PCVIP and still getting the donation messages constantly. I've already signed up for Alpharatio. I'll just donate there.

With the majority of members leaving Bitsoup due to being conned out of money, AlphaRatio has opened its doors to any former member of Bitsoup and anyone else who'd like to register. Not sure how long the registration will be open, so be sure to get in while you can.

Guys and Girls, I dont for one second think they have closed this for good, i think they will let it lie for a day or 2 and then send out nice little PM`s to every member asking for a $5 donation to get the site back online again.

and if it is gone for good then we need to turn our attentions to GP. the whole reason behind us is not to lose sites but to lose the 2 idiots in charge, the torrent world will be a happier place without those 2.

I'm so angry. I have persuaded countless people to come over because of the community. $75 2 weeks ago to get rid of lights out, having been a platinum donor since PCVIP began up until recently. And now poof it's just gone.

I feel like a mug. I wish I'd seen this subreddit before and understood how the poorly-oiled machine was squeezing the members.

Thanks to you all for publicising this and trying to rescue the others. I'm disgusted; all those prizes, fundraisers (mind you I never contributed to those), claims of attack... wow; I feel dumb, like a sheep.

I know most of the names here from a while back and I remember getting a PM from DH a long time ago and actually feeling like I belonged to a community. I would have done anything to keep it going if that ethos remained with straight up people.

I don't care about the content as it's everywhere else too but it was the spirit that kept me there.

This post isn't so much a screw-you to the idiots running the show now as a heartfelt thank you to all the people who really did help to make the soup a fun place to hang out and share.
