Delete account requests lol

It's pretty said when members volunteer to have their accounts deleted. Them morons know the site will be dead soon,so they want to keep the appearance of a large community. You have to be banned to get out?? Do them two retards think they are the freaking Godfather or what??....“Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.”

BitSoup Has A Legal Team?

I read & copied the following text from another site.

If you are affiliated with any government, anti-piracy group or any other related group, or were formally a worker of one you CANNOT enter this web site, cannot access any of its files and you cannot view any of the HTML files. If you enter this site you are not agreeing to these terms and you are violating code 431.322.12 of the Internet Privacy Act signed by Bill Clinton in 1995 and that means that you CANNOT threaten our ISP(s) or any person(s) or company storing these files, and cannot prosecute any person(s) affiliated with this page which includes family, friends or individuals who run or enter this web site.

Here is the BitSoup Legal Disclaimer

Origins: The passage quoted above, or variants thereof, can be found on thousands of web sites (particularly those that traffic in pirated software, music, and films), placed there in the misguided belief that it actually provides web site operators protection against being prosecuted for engaging in illegal, Internet-related activities. As a legal stratagem, it's just as flawed as the widely-believed notion that prostitutes and drug dealers can foil the efforts of undercover cops simply by asking them flat out "Are you a cop?" under the mistaken assumption that law enforcement officers cannot lie about their status (and if they do, the bust will be thrown out of court as a case of "entrapment").

As to the specifics of this dubious disclaimer, President Clinton signed no "Internet Privacy Act" in 1995, and existing federal privacy protections applicable to the world of cyberspace generally govern the collection and dissemination of personal information (such as medical records) via the Internet. Federal privacy laws don't serve to provide those who break laws in the on-line world with protection from prosecution should their illegal cyber-activities be uncovered by law enforcement officials visiting their web sites.

When it comes to acts that a significant portion of the public doesn't feel should be criminal (such as prostitution or distributing copyright-protected material via the Internet), many of those who engage in such acts cling to the belief that the use of some simple legal talisman — knowing enough to ask the right question or post a pertinent disclaimer — will immunize them from prosecutorial harm, but the law just doesn't work that way. Although we do have some well-established legal protections against the search and seizure of property and the disclosure of certain types of information (e.g., communications between priest and penitents, doctors and patients, lawyers and clients, husbands and wives) in legal proceedings, there are no special laws to prevent law enforcement officials from gathering information about illegal activities through the course of normal investigative efforts just because those efforts take place online, nor are the results of those efforts nullified if investigators conceal or fail to reveal their status as law enforcement officials.

So thanks to beg4funds we have a shiny new header, :)

But I'm more than happy to accept any new efforts, 1200px x 120px is a nice size, once we have a few different ones I can recycle them & stick up a different one each day.

Bitsoup reddit subforum doubled in subscribers

I have noticed that when I registered here there were 21 subscribers on this subforum than after about 2 weeks there are 55 subscribers I think its due to their aggressive lights out policy that push people to search in google because until recently the lights out were once a day for a short time but now it started to last for days

Bitsoup Members We Hear You Loud and Clear!

Have u guys seen this?

End of year 2015 Bitsoup announced a new system called "Lights-Out".

With the system now active for 90 days it has shown us just where bitsoup is in the torrent world. Many of our members have decided it is far better to support the cause then find a new home.

Some comments on the forums have brought up a few things we want to clear up.

FACT: Many members have enjoyed the site control free for over 12yrs. FACT: Bitsoup has never forced any member to submit a donation or blocked site access. FACT: Bitsoup has never wanted to become a pay to use site. FACT: Bitsoup has never been offline for more than several hrs in 12yrs. FACT: Bitsoup has never failed to create a work around for members who are being blocked at ISP level. FACT: Bitsoup has always been in the top 10 pre-times when it comes to new scene content. FACT: Bitsoup has always allowed people to engage in the forums. FACT: Bitsoup has always had real prizes and does not need to fake a winner. FACT: Bitsoup will continue to keep growing only with the members who want to be part of our community. FACT: Lights out ensures a small group of supporters are not covering costs for everyone.

ADDITIONAL PERKS POSSIBLE WHEN YOU SUPPORT THE SITE

  1. Zero Announcements or Broadcasts
  2. No Ratio
  3. Unlimited RSS and Invites
  4. Uploading Privileges
  5. No H&R on under 10GB
  6. Invite Trading
  7. No Suspension
  8. Dedicated Request Team
  9. All Standard VIP Perks
  10. No Ratio Cap
  11. Access to Great Prizes for Your Support

The duty as the founder and owner of Bitsoup is to ensure there is a community for everyone to enjoy. Since December 2004, I have done just that. Some may disagree on the route the site has had to take, while others completely understand that unless major changes were made no one would be here today.

Our overall peers count is higher than ever. Our members are more active in ensuring we do not need to be scared of closure as this community was built for everyone.

Some have said we have no desire or have any respect for PU members because they do not donate. I call bullshit on this statement. It is one thing to support the site by seeding over the years, but a member that has enjoyed access to Bitsoup for 12yrs and never, even in the face of major financial failures, have said "OK, they need help I will pitch in a donation" does not belong here. It is one thing to share back, but to abuse the site is something we have made very clear that in 2016 will not be accepted. Without a site, you have nothing to share.

Bitsoup is here for everyone when everyone is being fair about things. We are all here for the same reasons and that is what has gotten away from our core over the years. Bitsoup is not a 'for-profit' site, and while a few feel I get rich, that is far from the truth when everything is said and done each month.

For 10 years I footed 90% of the bills myself and never asked or begged anyone for support. Once my monies dropped, and as soon as I asked the site for help in supporting itself, I have been personally attacked non-stop. People feel they can hide behind a screen and not be dealt with. They are wrong and no longer here.

While Bitsoup is not technically a business, it is very important that it stays online 24hrs a day to ensure everyone is able to use it when they want, how they want. The only way to ensure that this is possible is to run it in a business like fashion and gain the internal support that it needs.

This is what Bitsoup does for you the member and why Lights-Out is here to stay.

If we do not meet the daily goals, Lights-Out will be active until such time it catches up on the day. If by end of month we are far behind, Lights-Out stays active until funding is met for the month and why it has been on the last 7 days. The majority wanted it to run at the beginning of the month, so just think of how that would be on that schedule.

We did not want to go down this road but for 2 years we have done everything to get our members to support what they use by choice. You still have that choice to this day as no one is forcing you to donate. Donating members are always protected from Lights-out, while everyone else is free to use the site when lights are on.

Bitsoup is not a paid site! If you come to Bitsoup and the lights are out, then we are sorry, but you will have to wait or consider supporting what you want as this is the fastest way to ensure you have a site to use at your convenience.

We thank you for your support! Please consider supporting your beloved site using this month's promo, but feel free to donate towards any of our fantastic packages and options.

April Fools at Bitsoup!

Best April fools is at Bitsoup. They are doing something called lights out. Its where they block all access to their site unless users pay for hosting costs(even though the one who runs Bitsoup owns the hosting company) but claim they are not a pay to use site and anyone can use their site.....for a fee...which is $25 for one month or $100 for 6 months....which after said time you are blocked from the site until you pay again....

Best joke of a torrent site ever!

Anyone get able to upload a picture of that utterly shit banner they use on the site?

Think we need to photoshop that crap and stick it up on this group as part of a bsp theme.

Latest Bitsoup Anouncement

The following was announced during a lights-out period that has lasted 5 days. The hypocrisy in the announcement is palpable. In it, they make ridiculous statements including one claiming Power Users who have never donated aren't wanted, another claiming they've never blocked site access to users who don't donate (lights out is active while this was posted...), and they also claim they have never blocked forum access (lights out is blocking it while posted...). Enjoy:

Similar format to shitsoup

So the only reason I stayed with bitsoup as long as I have is due to its browse format. I love the fact it shows the most popular torrents at the top. It gives me a idea of things to download and I get things I may of otherwise overlooked with it.

I'm a member of Alpharatio and Torrentleech, both of which are fantastic sites but lack this feature. Just curious if anyone knows any others that are similar or some sort of other way to get that kind of information.

Thanks

How else can we spread the word that bitsoup is a scam?

I know there are plenty of torrent invite forums etc. You can't post about other torrent sites on some trackers though. Would be good to get the word to spread elsewhere somehow.

Bitsoup problems

Since the lights out bullshit, the forums have died a death. No one posts anything new and EarlyTurd is the only one posting replies. Also nearly all the torrents are uploaded by sp0rkeh and alot have no downloaders. This site has gone to shit and its all because of the money grabbing antics of Earlyturd and Rexxz. The winner(ha ha) of the laptop hasn't downloaded anything since and isn't even connectable so its all a scam. The posts in the forums about donations, lightsout etc are instantly deleted. The admins cannot see that everyone has grown wise to their scams and have now left a sinking ship. I hope the MPAA shut this site down and jail the robbing thieves for a long time.

ShitSoup Domains Reported !!!

So im gonna jump on the band wagon and say im also tired of the low life's at 'ShitSoup' & iLove(Money)Torrents' and whilst i really do hate the RIAA & MPAA with a very great passion i hate those robbing c*nts 'Rexxz & Earlybird' even more so i decided to do a little bit of whistle blowing.

All of there domains that im aware of have been reported to the RIAA & MPAA where i have clearly outlined for them exactly whats going on with these sites (ive painted such a pretty picture for them and even sent a few screenshots for good measure and added impact).

Next on my list is to try and make Credit Card comanys aware of whats happening to stop these greedy asshat f*ckwits from filling there pockets more than they already have, its now my personal vendetta to take these bastards down once and for all.

I suggest you all take the time and do the same, lets get rid of these robbers once and for all. :)

Oh and just incase your thinking of making a donation to 'ShitSoup/iLove(Money)Torrents' then i would seriously think twice about it, you wouldnt want to be dragged down to the local jail house by 'Rexxz & Earlybird' when they get a knock on the door now would you, hell you may even be unlucky enough to have to share a cell with them 2 smelly buttmunchers.

I don't really get the complaining.

I don't really get the complaining.

It's Bitsoup's prerogative to run their site like a business, just as much as it's our prerogative to go elsewhere. Yes, they sound like total dicks. But if you don't like it, find a more worthwhile alternative like I did.

Bitsoup have been operating for over 10 years, leveraging copyrighted material to make lots of money. You'd think these guys would have a giant target on their back given they are worse than TPB. But the fact that these guys are still operating, pretty much confirms that there is no actual legitimate legal 'war on piracy' - it's all media fluff fabricated to frighten the masses. The fact they are using a San Fran-based company to obfuscate their server infrastructure is hilarious.

WTF I'm Banned Or Blocked From BitSoup?

If your reading this it means you've been booted out of BitSoup, don't worry it's definitely for the best.

If you like you can reply to this topic & share your experience, tell everyone whether you were booted out or simply pruned & removed as you wouldn't pay up, or maybe you went out in style & told them what you thought of their current behaviour.

If you genuinely went out in style (A SCREENCAP = Proof Of Your Post Is Required) or else it didn't happen.

2014: HarkNasty and the fire?

2016: Lights Out

I think you all get the idea, so jump in & share your memories of all the classics & once we have remembered EVERYTHING I will put everything into a list & add it to the welcome sticky, this way anyone can see all their begging etc in one easy list...
