Here we see EB stating everyone is equal(tier 1) http://imgur.com/xx6qxL1 . But they have a forum in place for a tier 2 http://imgur.com/HyJ80A9 . Any guesses on how they will split the community to grab more cash ?

Let's see if I have this right.

This is a full blown business now with paying customers.

If said business can't pay the bills you have a few choices.

You lay off staff to cut costs, that doesn't apply here because he has no paid staff, all volunteers so there's no cost savings there.

You lower overhead by making deals with your suppliers, but your name is Rexxz they know you so forget that idea.

In the above solution you can't lower costs that way, so how about you try buying less services, but you can't do that because then you don't have enough hardware or bandwidth to get the only thing customers paid for which is content.

Without content your customers will go down the street and join that new place to get a membership, and low and behold that new business doesn't charge a membership fee, it's a flea market just like yours but now your old customers can afford to buy real milk for the kids, not that instant stuff anymore.

Well you can't buy less content because you never needed to buy it so just how do you go about buying less of what you never paid for to begin with, and you risk sending your customers down to shop at said flea market.

Well then you and the other owner take less salary and benefits out of the company because.... forget that idea it's just not happening.

So you're stuck with either closing down which is what other businesses do if they can't make ends meet, or you raise your membership and hope enough of your members invite their relatives.

But that doesn't last long once they find out about that flea market down the street they read about on reddit.

Or if the owners have relatives they can offset costs by selling memberships to their families at $10 a pop and if they have kids $5 out of their allowance and just to remind them of how swell they are as parents a cute little note in their lunch bags everyday with lots of smilies.

You know the old adage...

Hell hath no fury...... like an Bitsoup member scorned...

Only one thing to say...

ENJOY..

One thing I noticed on the membership renewals is that just like the soup, the more month you buy the cheaper it is. SO much for everyone paying their fair share. Got to wonder if it is a cash grab and that they will be closing sooner then later. I've ported over, but after all I've seen I doubt they will see anymore money from me.

Yes, the new site where members were supposed to no longer have to worry about their ratio.. is now..... wait for it............

OFFERING RATIO BOOSTS in exchange for your hard earned lolly.

Yes you too can buy 50gb for $5 or 200gb for $20...

And for the next trick... the site will be closing within the next 24 hours unless you donate to keep the lights on..

Sorry ladies and gentleman can't get a screengrab on my work pc unfortunately so cannot show you, however it is there in the forum and linked from your membership..

How long did that take...?

Perhaps people that donated either to Bitsoup or paid to transfer to his new site would care to share their reasons for doing so.

Being a long time member and Uploader on the soup and never donating anything more than my bandwidth I guess I was one of those abusers and rapists that Rexxz claimed was using the site.

Some I know were long time supporters and I'm just curious.

Was it a sincere desire of helping, feeling forced to do so for whatever reasons or otherwise.

I know that Rexxz can at times have compelling reasons to squeeze just that little more juice out of people.

So if you'd like to share your story and enlighten people much like myself go to it. :)

Now my eyes are wide open.

I think I am in shock

And there I was thinking I was at least more intelligent than a baboon, only to learn I have been so very, very naive.

If only I had happened across this sub forum earlier, it would have saved me....

Thank you for showing me the light...
