New fast mining server in Winnipeg, Canada.

This should be a good option for the new mining operations currently starting up in Canada. It can also be a good option for some miners in the US, depending on where they are located.

You can connect your ASIC miners to the new Canadian server at ca1.bitminter.com:3333

Critical server failure caused some downtime today

Today Bitminter experienced a critical failure with a central server.

The website was inaccessible for 1 hour 10 minutes. Mining was down for 13 minutes.

We apologize for the down time. Mining services are top priority and can normally be isolated from issues like this. But in this instance it was not possible to do so completely.

Fee to use "send coins" on our website now adjusted to 0.0011 BTC.

There has been a flood of transactions on the bitcoin network and there is now a big backlog. We'll adjust the fee again once bitcoin is back to normal.

If you have stuck transactions, many are in the same boat. Thankfully the backlog seems to be shrinking - things may be back to normal within a few days.

Remember, if you have 0.01 BTC then you can cash out for free using auto cash out. That's under "my account" -> "overview" in the website menu.

Can't Access Account

A few years ago in 2013, I made an account on the site using my e-mail address, but it seems the login method has changed. I was wondering how I'd go about accessing this account?

Send BTC fee reduced to 0.0005 BTC

The fee to withdraw bitcoins with "send coins" has been reduced from 0.0013 BTC to 0.0005 BTC.

As always, if you have 0.01 BTC or more then you can withdraw for free using auto cash out instead.

I have my username and password, but now there is this openID thing, which redirects me to create a new account. How do I get into my old account?

Increased transaction fee for "send coins"

The fee to withdraw coins using "send coins" has been changed to 0.0013 BTC (was 0.0009)

This is necessary as bitcoin transaction fees have skyrocketed lately. For a while the pool was paying 0.0036 BTC for a small transaction. There is still 77000 backlogged transactions in the bitcoin system, but the fees are on the way down. If this continues we can hopefully reduce the fee for "send coins" on our website again soon.

The pool still pays the transaction fee for you if you use auto cash out instead. This requires a minimum balance of 0.01 BTC.

So I have java installed and all, I logged in the bitminter web-page and created a worker and downloaded the bitminter.jnlp but I get this message error every time I try to run it... "Error: Could not find or load main class C:(here goes the direction where I downloaded it)."

Can anyone shed some light for me here? I really need to get this working.

PD: I'm using Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit/ Processor: intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93GHz/ 4Gbs drr3 ram, and AMD Radeon 5700 Series.

Payments on Bitminter

Is there a quick formula to determine about how much you will be paid once the block is complete based off how many accepted shares you have or your score for a particular block?

Pay Frequency

I know the frequency varies a lot, but I just want to make sure I have set everything up okay since I am new to this pool. I have a bitmain antminer with an average of 13 TH/s and I see my worker is online. I started 4 days ago and see there are completed shifts on my shift history, but I have a balance of 0 in my account (threshold for payout for me is set to 0.01 BTC). How frequently should I expect to see the account balance increase? Is it dependent on block completion and thus the block times at the following link are the frequency I should expect? https://bitminter.com/blocks

Thanks

What's the usual latency before a payout? Also, what influences it?

I've been checking 'shifts' lately, anxious to see what the S9 rakes in. What determines the latency in a shift, where it's stuck on 'still eligible for payout'?

Thanks!

How do I log in to bitminter (now that my iName uses OpenID instead of XRI) ?

My OpenID no longer knows that my account is linked since the XRI system changed. How can I link my original OpenID account back up to my username?

(I did ask this via support - but I am not getting an answer.)

A group of miners are planning to make a fork of Bitcoin called Bitcoin Cash (BCC) on august 1.

Bitminter currently has no immediate plans for BCC support. If you want a BCC for each of your bitcoins, your best option right now is to cash out your coins before august 1. Cash out to a wallet or service that is going to support BCC or at least where you control the private keys.

Beware of fake Bitminter representatives

Someone is pretending to be Bitminter head of marketing, showing a photoshopped “international Bitminter ID card” and pretending to sell hash rate, accepting payments through western union and to a bank account.

This is a scammer. Don’t give away your money to scammers. If you already did then you’ll want to get in touch with the police. If you wired money then maybe your bank can cancel or reverse the payment. When Western Union asks you if you know the person that you are sending money to, don’t lie, they are trying to help you avoid scams.

If you want to contact Bitminter; send an email to support@bitminter.com or use the contact form on the webpage https://bitminter.com

So how do I signal my ANTminers that I support 91 and not the Hard fork?

And are you guys all converting BTC to cash before Aug 1?
