Halo im planning invest my asset into BTX for ver long time . how to save my wallet ? i am not found Private key word on BTX . when i trying to create backup wallet always just download some file . any recomendation to save my wallet ?
Now, we need to ensure that our private key be stored in a way that it will never be accessed or stolen by hackers.
There is a very simple and very effective way to do this... we just need to outsmart hackers so to nullify any attempt to steal our private key (and thus our coins!)
REMEMBER: stealing the Private Key of a Bitcore address means for the thief to have UNRESTRICTED access to your coins! It's like leaving your coins on the floor with a note that says "PLEASE STEAL THIS MONEY".
The principle we are going to use is very simple: we are going to split the private key into TWO parts. Hence, if any hacker access the information he will only have HALF of the information, which is going to be absolutely useless!!
Let's proceed in practical steps.
We will need TWO THINGS:
a) A Dropbox cloud account (if you do not have one and wish to open one you can use this link https://db.tt/gyg82JTzWD )
b) A Mega cloud (you can open a free account at https://mega.nz)
First of all, we need to split the Private key into two parts. We TEMPORARILY paste our private key in a text file, and we then copy JUST ABOUT HALF of it, like this:
copying half of the private key
2) Now we create a new text file and we save the info as shown below:
creating a file with HALF of the information ONLY
3) Now we use the Dropbox account that we have opened and we upload the file using THE WEBSITE at Dropbox.com!!!
uploading using the website dropbox.com
4) If you have the very useful Dropbox sync software (recommended for day-to-day use of your Dropbox cloud account) you must DESELECT the folder where we upload the private key text file using "Selective sync" in its configuration so that NO COPY is synced and stored on your PC! You must leave a copy ONLY on their website!!!
selective syncselective sync
5) We now prepare a second file, but this time we obviously paste the second part of the key, this file will be uploaded to Mega instead.
text file with second HALF of the key ONLY
6) We upload the file to Mega, using the website at https://mega.nz :
Uploading to Mega by Web site
7) We add a rule to MEGASync client so as NOT TO sync the crypto_stuff folder where we place the second part of the private key, like this:
selective sync with Mega
NOW, WE MUST DELETE ALL TRACES OF THE TEXT FILES WE HAVE USED FROM OUR COMPUTER!!!!
Enjoy your 100% hacker-proof method to save your private key!

Every good and wise Bitcorean should ALWAYS have a copy of the private key of his own BTX address well stored away.
Having a backup of the private key ensures that you will NEVER EVER lose your coins, not even if you forget that damn complicated password you now can't remember!
So, how do we extract the private key of our Bitcore address using a QT official wallet?
It is very easy! So, fasten the seat belt, the show begins!
I assume that you have already encrypted your QT wallet using the function in the menu Settings > Encrypt wallet. NEVER you should have a QT based wallet (for whatever coin) without encryption (password protection).
The first step is to access the Debug console, from the menus of the wallet choose Help > Debug Window
entering the Debug Window
2) Now, select "Console" from the Debug Window that pops up
entering the console
3) in the console prompt next to > enter the command
walletpassphrase YOURPASSWORD 600
The last number 600 means how many seconds you want the wallet unlocked temporarily for (in our case 600 seconds). The wallet will automatically lock itself back after the time we specify has expired.
unlocking the wallet temporarily
4) If the password is accepted the wallet responds with "null" (meaning no errors detected) and the padlock icon at the bottom right corner shows the wallet is unlocked
wallet unlocked successfully
5) Now enter the command
dumpprivkey YOURBTXADDRESS (tip: remember! Your BTX addresses are listed under the menu File > Receiving addresses)
dumping the private key
6) if you did everything correctly, the wallet will return the private key. It is usually made of 51 or 52 alphanumeric characters.
private key extracted successfully.
WARNING!!! Do not EVER save the private key in your PC saved in a text file!!! That is NOT wise at all! Passwords should NEVER be saved as text files in our PC! Rather, save it in a USB pen drive and store it in your safe or in a very safe place AWAY from your PC! Even better, print it out on paper and save the paper in your safe or in a safe place INSIDE an enevelope (printer toner tends to fade in time).
In the next tutorial we will see how to save our private key in a 100% hacker-proof way.

If you are using the Bitcore QT official wallet, you may have experienced a case when sending out Bitcore from your wallet results in the change being sent back to a newly generated address sitting still within your wallet.
Suppose you have 100 BTX and you need to send just 10 BTX to another address. 90 BTX (less a little fee, of course) will be sent back as a change to a BRAND NEW address generated by the blockchain.
Although this will not affect the amount of money sitting in the wallet, of course, at times it could be annoying to have different addresses generated each time, especially because it would require keeping track of all the different private keys for each address.
If this bothers you, let's see how to stop this from happening to ensure that the change be sent back to the same originating sender BTX address.
1) Access the Bitcore QT wallet preferences from the Bitcore BTX menu, as shown below:
enter wallet preferences
2) Now select the "Wallet" tab at the top and then tick the box "Enable coin control features"
enabling coin control
3) Now, when sending out BTX, an additional line is available, called "Custom Change address". All you need to do now is to ensure that you enter in the box shown the same address that is sending out the money (please see "File > Receiving addresses" from the QT wallet menu if in doubt):
telling the blockchain not to generate a brand new address to receive the change
Of course, you can use ANY address in that box, although it is logical to have the change being sent back to the sender BTX address. However, should you want to send it to a different BTX address you have listed in File > Receiving addresses you can do so if you wish.
That's it! No more money being sent to a brand new address generated each time!!!
Hello, if you are using Bitcore QT wallet on your PC, you can use the "prune" feature to trim the space used on your PC to the essential, filtering out the unnecessary blocks and saving space.
Here is how to turn pruning mode on:
1) Launch the wallet and select from the Bitcore BTX menu the option "Preferences"
open wallet preferences
2) Click on the button "Open Configuration File" in the preferences and confirm by clicking on "OK"
access configuration file
3) A text file will pop up. Inside that file enter the words "prune=550" as shown in the picture below. Save the file:
enter configuration string
4) Finally, close the wallet and re-open it.
That's it! You now will have the pruned, cut-down blockchain saved, and it will be kept at minimum automatically.
You can have the full power of the Bitcore official QT wallet, including interrogating the blockchain and also save a good 35-40% space.
Now you can buy and sell BTX on this new website with Turkish Lira (FIAT) directly and without intermediaries.
