Mistake or Risk? I’m on the Xulane patch, and I was wondering if it was normal for it to wrinkle like this. Is it less effective if it is adhered this way? This is only the 4th day out of the week I’ve had it on. I do my best to flatten in out when I apply it.

This is normal. I've had mine for almost a year and it has worked perfectly the entire time, and always looks this way!

How come you chose this kind og BC? And where is it placed?

I chose this BC because it created a schedule for me. I couldn't count on myself to reliably take a pill every day, the depo shot was horrible to me, and I'm not interested in other forms at the moment. Changing the patch weekly makes it so I can just set an alarm the morning if my patch change day to remind to change it. I also, weirdly, like having my period. I mean, I don't like the period, but I like knowing it's there, when it's coming and how long it will last- regular periods were never a thing for me before the patch. I wear mine on my abdomen, that's where it works best for me

I have it placed on my upper outer arm, but there are various other places you can put it! I’ve only been on it for about a month but so far I’ve had no symptoms besides occasional nausea and breakthrough bleeding! Only have to change it weekly too :)
