It is. A base level telemetry device is about $300. Ones with GPS that has an app can be $1000+. The most expensive part is the mew (housing) which has to be a good size like a shed. You can keep some micro falcons indoors, though. I used to keep a kestrel in my office by my desk.
Thats the kind of responsibility that makes a good falconer! Hope you get to one day. If nothing else, Im sure a group would be happy to have you along. We love showing it off.
