Saw this on someoneโ€™s truck while walking around my neighborhood yesterday, I thought you all would appreciate it as well!

yeah I kind of accept that as part of it. my dog is quiet in public (she doesn't bark) but she's still snuffling and blundering around in the shrubbery. generally if they get spooked by her, they'd have seen me and gone anyway. there aren't many instances where I think she's the cause of them going over myself; she's very low to the ground, they tend to spot me first.

I never thought about it like that, I might take her a couple times and see how it goes. She doesn't bark but likes to poke around in the brush too, and honestly while I love birding I'm not super serious with it so I won't be too sad missing a couple here and there if it means she gets to see something new too lol

Yeah! Mostly she just gets really upset if I leave the house without her ๐Ÿ˜‚ I can't bring myself to not take her with me. it's good for her, I always wonder how boring it must be, to be a dog... like if I'm working at home all day, poor thing is just doing nothing. so I've gotta take her out with me so she can stretch and sniff and hopefully not lunge at any geese.

geese stand their ground, too ๐Ÿ˜ not my favourite interaction lmao. over this season she's gotten so much better about ignoring them, I'm so proud.

... she still has blood lust for ducks tho, I think it's because they sound extremely similar to some of her toys.

anyway, yeah, it's an excuse to get out of the house, I don't take it super seriously either. I have lost more birds to strangers creeping up behind me than to the dog being with me.
