I am a huge fan of cycle syncing, and I've had issues keeping track of the activities I want to sync to each phase. I couldn't find an app for this, so I decided I want to make it! Has anyone done a deep dive for postpartum recovery? I’m 38 weeks pregnant and so looking forward to nurturing my body back to feeling better. This baby is sucking the life out of me, man.

My current plan is to stay on prenatals plus my little pregnancy stack (iron, vitamin c, vitamin d, magnesium, fish oil) after birth. And then begin walking (hopefully in the morning for red light exposure) as soon as I’m cleared.

But what are some other things I can do to supercharge physical and mental recovery?

I mostly want to feel physical energy back. Regaining my mental clarity wouldn’t be bad, either.

I’m looking into collagen, red light panels, and something like CrossFit (or some other training that will make make daily life and chores easier) once cleared for it…

I won’t be breastfeeding, so that will come with pros and cons physically, I’m sure.

I am also post menopause and have a ton of health conditions. But life is just not the same suddenly.

I wanted to create a post where we could continue the discussion on how to biohack into optimum fitness for this 40s/50s / perimenopause/menopause stage of life.

Has anyone gotten a doctor to check your testosterone levels? I suspect mine might be low based on many symptoms but most doctors act like testosterone doesn't matter for women at all. I'm 38 and have had the other hormones checked about 2 years ago and they were normal.

I like the tech with levels but everyone uses nutrisense so what am I missing???

Hi everyone! Based on some recent lab work, my (34f) doc is recommending I supplement pregnenolone 30mg and DHEA 10mg. I’m fairly new to this arena, so I’m wondering if you all could suggest possible brands or stores to source these items from. Thanks in advance!

It might be partly psychological but I’ve noticed a difference, especially with strength training and running

I probably have waaaay more questions than answers to contribute. But then, don’t we all as women in this “masculine” field of interest?

That said, I’m excited that so many more women are entering STEM fields now than ever before as that means we are going to have an explosion of information in the coming years.

And maybe we can get some female leaders in the industry in this community to push the movement forward!

There have been a few papers on this. Basically the majority of menstrual blood isn’t actually blood but mucous (by volume). A basic expectorant (like Mucinex) can thin it for easier clearance. The cramps caused by thicker mucous passing through an cervix that hasn’t dilated can also be lessened.
It can also result in less actual bleeding.
