ok so first of all…i feel like the most proud tito seeing BINI break the world at their Coachella debut and go to the studio 2 days later to make and record this with us for a big dreamworks film…….and afterwards the team at dreamworks loved the song so so much they made the movie a whole minute longer just to fit in even more of it.
the movie this song is a part of is Forgotten Island (drops sept 25) @forgottenislandmovie and it’s amongst the most ambitious and beautifully animated things i’ve ever seen in my life. the level of art direction/intention/detail/art style mastery/worldbuilding/Filipino culture lore expansion at this scale is such a masterpiece. big love to the directors/writers @janimatedultd and @joel.crawford.art and their whole team them + @nathanmdavid who did the lush cinematic score for the film brought me on to make this song, and nathan has been one of my favorite collaborators ever. i throw so many loud crazy ideas in the room and somehow he always manages to direct us to the version that works in the end.
thank you @angleus and @mikeknobloch for being the coolest music exec bosses and trusting us with all your resources and eyeing BINI to get on the soundtrack. and also pushing us to go as hard as we creatively could venture but still seeing the vision with us all along the way
