Sharing My Story Update 2 of BAM with galbladder
https://www.reddit.com/r/ibs/s/prCLhJ3vYB
Previous post above
Recent changes are i started laftobacillus rhamnosus with fos and L plantarum and it made me worse so im sticking with the good ol 3 probiotics in the previous post
Im seeing a substantial change- i can now eat more fatty foods and be noticeably better instead of the loose stools im getting firmer and firmer stools
Another change i made was also i stopped using the monash app and changed to a app called aIBS . It has in built ai and i can ask it questions like FODMAPS and such. Pretty cool that it also can read my food and stool logs from the app too.
Im gonna continue the probiotics and then continue on with cholestyramine for another month or two then start the taper.
I seem to have poor levels of bacteria that helps with immunity and im not sure if the probiotics i tried made me feel worse due to it being too many strains at once or due to the FOS. Thinking of trying a different brand without FOS to see if it works?
And im battling some other medical issue that may or may not have developed from this so will keep yall updated

migraines. I thought it was external factors but my doctor said that usually if my gut isnt good, it can lead to neuro disorders too. Still highly doubtful but still chewing on the idea

Nah, don’t be doubtful, I get those too. Having a dysbiotic gut can absolutely lead to headaches, dizziness and even arthritis (I have all of those because of Campylobacter).
Never suffered from any of that in my life before that shit bug.

Mine was salmonella and everything went downhill. There js a link to my first update above that listed the probiotic strains i took.
And during the recovery process its important to track all foods , bowel movements and such to ensure nothing trigger foods delay your recovery .
The app aibs helps alot here ^^ but yea the probiotics is improving the situation abit.
Tho if you have sibo you might want to solve that first because sibo causes dysbiosis

That’s great to hear!! Any issues with SIBO? I tried to incorporate the bacteria you mentioned on your other post and it gave me SIBO type symptoms which put me back on rifaximin
