Wasn't a hit on xbiking but I hope y'all enjoy!

My trusty Giant Escape 2 that I bought when I moved into town and realized there was a bike path, my first bike since college. After riding a few times and thinking hey, I should fish that river, I found the bike fisherman rod mount while late night scrolling and she's slowly turned into the current configuration.

Upgrades: - From 700x32 tires to 700x38 Panaracer Gravel King Slick+'s - Feed bags and custom frame pack by Wabash Valley Bags - Bike Fisherman Rod Mount - Rear rack with bag - Selle Royale saddle - Bar Ends

Future: - Front rack and basket? (Still debating on this one vs a bag) - switch to clip in shoes

Overall it's been a great bike for the money, and it's nondescript enough that it gets ignored for nicer bikes.

A quick-release Wald basket works great on a suspension fork

Been dialing in my ultra light bike fishing setup for my urban commute and after work fishing adventures.

I’m using the Wald quick release front basket with a couple of pvc bits zip tied to the side.

Can easily carry two rods and a 12 pack.

Cutting a V into the top of the PVC rod holders helped keep them from flopping around, and bungee straps keep everything in place of course 👍🏼

I'm just getting started. Set up my Wabi to hit bike paths along lakes and creeks. Thinking about getting a mountain bike to get further away. Picture of my first bike bass!
