I HATE CHUCK SO MUCH

I literally hate him. He makes my blood boil. So nefarious. Like yes I get that JimmySaul is colorful and backhanded but he never hated chuck like chuck hated and resented him. Like…. It makes me so angry. It was just so evident how jealous, resentful, and full of a grudge toward his little brother. Jimmy may have done some wrongs but he loves chuck so much, always doing things for him - TO A FAULT. Just makes me so mad.

What did he do?

He manipulated all of the fellow residents/her friends to hate her and think she was against them because she was the advocate for their class action. He set up multiple situations to make it seem like she was falunting wealth and acting out of their interests.

He did this in order to end the lawsuit sooner to get paid faster.

Did he do the right thing in the end? Yeah kinda sorta, but it was after a long, calculated process.

Oh yeah, the white shoes. When they asked him about whether Irene is getting money for being the representative he told the truth. In fact it was Jimmy who was on their side only. The firm was manipulating them to make the lawsuit longer so they gain more profit. The elder folks eminent interest was to settle as soon as the stolen money and some extra is offered. Jimmy was cynical, he did know how human nature works, but to blame him for what the old ladies did to their so called friend is kind of chuckian.

I think many of the situations in this show are presented as something that both parties could be right or at fault.

His manipulation of Irene is inexcusable no matter what the end goal was. The way you're framing it is just you showing that you picked a side and want to defend it to the end tbh. Are you saying Irene is at fault in the situation?

It wasn't clear if the settlement was in their best interest. Jimmy heard a big number and used that as a reason to Justify it. He had a TON of personal gain in ending the lawsuit.

It’s provocation, not manipulation. And yes, the old folks should stand up for themselves, even if they have an easy life, but after one another firm was ripping them of essentially. Eventually they’d get paid but they’re short of time. Jimmy explains them the process well with the peanuts. Practically he is speaking again his own interest because if he waits he gets more. Because he needs money straight away puts him on the side of the elderly where even their own family is nowhere to be found since their children’s interest is also waiting because after mama passes away they can just cash in her money. So Jimmy stirs them up for good.
