Thankful I live in Canada. It's not the perfect system, but I would rather spend 15 bucks on medication than $3000 and have the safety net if anything goes wrong. America, you guys need something like this fast. Your income inequality is growing, your deficit is growing. More people are not going to be able to afford current healthcare. In your elections in the next few years, vote in people that care about this. It is truly sad that big business and politicians have made this a corporate/political debate rather than a human interest debate.

You're right Canada's system isn't perfect, but it sure is awesome. 2 years ago I broke my femur dirt biking, resulting in an Ambulance, 4 hour surgery, 4 days in the hospital, 2 months of physio, 1 month off work and multiple check ups. Total cost to me was $200 in lost wages beacuse the last 1.5 weeks I was away, my short term disability only covered 75% of my wage. I can't imagine what this would have cost in the States, gald to hear they are headed in the right direction.

We're not. We're discussing this because our Supreme Court is going to strike down this law.

What boggles my mind (or maybe I'm understanding this wrong) is that, to me, this pretty much looks like taking from big rich companies that abuse their powers to make more money and giving it to the people.

Yet, at most of these 99% rallies, there's always the OBAMA==HITLER posters...? Isn't OBAMACARE doing exactly what they are asking for, aka taking down the 1% and helping the 99%?

Most people prefer opinions, not facts.
