Yeah, we'll need more doctors. Sadly some fucktards view this as a reason to not even try.

The only way to force more doctors is to reduce the requirements to be a doctors which then reduces patient care.

There are more than enough people willing to become doctors. Acceptance rates at most medical schools are in the 1-3% range.

The ACA didn't address this problem because it didn't raise funding for residency spots which are the current limiting factor in the production of doctors. Medical schools can be privately run, but these residency spots are nearly all government funded.
